I didn't know we could trade J-Rich for a bag of cash. Twelve million of it.

I'm in. :D

Seriously, J-Rich can be traded. What's the package?

I am sure it's one you have seen before. Mavs forums lust over it all the time. I just keep looking through the Trades and Transactions forum and can't find it, so I thought I would find out Phx's reaction.

Phx - Dallas

J-Rich for Wright (our starting 2), Stackhouse (7.5 mil deal with 2 mil buyout = 5.5 mil cash), and George (Filler)

I'd give J-Rich up for a bag of coal.

No, we arnt, but we are watching a team that could be using that 6+ million that JRICH is overpaid on players that we could really use. Barbosa does the same thing JRICH does at half the price. If JRICH was getting paid what Beep Beep is, we would have the cash to sign an Ariza or an Artest instead of a Frye.

That is why we are so concerned that he is overpaid, it affects the players that we could get/ sign.

Guys, he just **** on a plate and you lapped it up. You forget JRich can go for 30 any night of the week and dunk from the foul line. He's under 30 and is one of the best rebounding guards in the game.

At least ask for more cash...

Im not trying to defend him saying we shouldn't trade him, but I feel we are greatly undervaluing him.

He's an above average player not someone I would just trade away for nothing.

+1, as long as that bag of coal has a cheap buyout

Too true and I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Though part of me thinks, if we get Chandler, we should keep Richardson and aim at 2011. But if we did this, Sarver would save his money and I would be happier than if they blew the team up, so I'll take what I can get.

Instead of George, give us one of your PG's and it's a deal. If not, I'd rather Green than George too.

There is no doubt jrich is available for any expiring or buyout deal. Dumping him opens our cap space up significantly in 2010

I thought we were trading Cash (the poster) for J Rich! Sign me up!

If you get the right team, he fits most of what we need in a run and gun offense. Remember, we tired the Porter route and Im not sure we can bring in a guy that is not a good offensive threat at the 2 and be a good team and run and gun. He is athletic, can jump and can hit the 3. He can slash to the hoop and we need that. The player we need is JJ or Roy, eventho that is not going to happen.

I think the guy gets a bad wrap because of his bone headed moves with the DUI etc. Im open to trading him, but not for trash becuase he is young and has some value.

If I was Dallas, I would do Stack/S.Williams/Barea for J-Rich.

Stack is instant savings. Williams is an expiring. Barea has a teamoption next year but is a young player on cheap contract.

He can jump and hit the three, but saying he can "slash" is a huge stretch....more than 2 dribbles=TO.
