Sorry I had to make this thread...

He signed an 8-year extension with Columbus. Jesus Rick... you could of played in Toronto and had friends and family watching you every night, because I'm sure Nash was a target of Burkes.

In conclusion, Rick Nash is a dummy. Only because I wanted him to be a leaf though. IDIOT

I think it's pretty obvious he enjoys Columbus quite a bit. I'm not a huge Nash fan anyways. But it would have been nice to see him in Blue and White.

While I somewhat agree with you.

He's got a promising team with a bright future. They've got some top-flight propsects/players like Steve Mason, Derrick Brassard and Jakub Vorocek the Leafs don't have.

There are still a ton of talented UFA's next year though.

why would he leave Columbus?

money is good. he clearly enjoys or is comfortable with his surroundings. and Toronto is a dog-eat-dog market that most players probably don't want to play in.

if you are content and comfortable, why move? its like a guy dating a girl that everyone says is just ok. he likely won't dump her because he is comfy with mediocrity.
