The free-falling Mets finally made a move, trading Ryan Church(notes) to the Atlanta Braves for Jeff Francoeur(notes) and cash on Friday in a swap of outfielders who had fallen out of favor with their teams.

horrible trade. church sucks. and if francouer turns it around even slightly, the braves look dumb.

i would of rather of traded him out of the division for a box of a baseballs and then brought up a minor leaguer like brandon jones

How is that a bad trade? Church is better offensively than Frenchy and neither are long term solutions for us anyway.

there is NOTHING to gain from this trade. church doesnt make us more competitive this season.

Yes he does.

He is better offensively.

Turn it around? Do you really think he could "turn it around"? He was one of the WORST offensive players in baseball over the last two years.

Pretty big sample size.
