Bringing Bowen back to Boston for one more year.
Scal + one of Giddens/ Walker for Bruce Bowen.
Why for MIL: I don't know what they would want Bowen for, he was basically in the deal to move Jefferson. He might have some value to a team looking to advance in the playoffs (ATL S&T Childress for Bowen if they are serious) or a team like Boston looking for one more vet to solidify their rotation. Maybe the potential of one of our young players like Giddens or Walker would interest them-- low money/ high potential.
Why for Boston: Adding Bowen to our already defensive-minded unit makes the Celtics the most intimidating team in the league. He knows the players, knows how to win, knows the little defensive tricks, knows the refs, knows where to be on offense and can hit the three when open.
Yeah, he's winding down, but I don't want to rely on an unproven player to help the team while the window is still open. We're not giving up too much, and we're not saddled with a contract past next summer. Bowen is not my first choice, but looking at what's left in the FA agent pool, I think he's worthy of consideration.

Re: Trade idea: Bowen
I was thinkign Bowen would do great here, in Orlando, or in Cleveland really. All in the same role 15-20mpg player(in CLE & ORL starting), but just for that PT. He'll hit the corner 3 at a 40% clip, and play premiere MoM D. Your defense will just get that much tougher.
He will help relieve Pierce off of some minutes guarding the other teams best player, and you can go small ball with him when you put Pierce at the 4 for minutes.

Re: Trade idea: Bowen
If we could get another scoring guard off the bench like Barbosa or possibly Marbury (with him returning to form), I'd love to see Bowen even if he's declined significantly. He can still play very solid, if no longer elite D and he can hit the open 3. He also can be counted on to not make some of the absurdly stupid, possible game costing decisions that Tony Allen does and would be a nice in that last minute defensive replacement role.
If we are going to get a guy with no upside at guard like Lue, I'd prefer to see a guy with a little more ability to score off the bench like Nocioni or Barnes.
I was under the impression there's a decent chance Bowen could be bought out as well. Have the Bucks stated otherwise recently? I'd love to get him for the vet's minimum, not crazy about dealing our expirings for him.

Re: Trade idea: Bowen
Bowen's just about done. At this point, he's at best an above average defender and a complete liability on offense. He's not going to solve our backup wing problem, but he couldn't hurt if we got another guy this offseason. I'd give maybe Scal and a second for him, but I think we could use Scal as a 4th/5th big now more.
