Matt Barnes

Post#1 » by lifejuice » Mon Jul 13, 2009 4:45 am

I read recently that the suns have decided not to resign matt barnes. he would be a perfect back up to artest - hes a big SF, tough on defense, and can hit the long range shot. he had a vet min contract last year, i dont see any reason he wouldnt sign the same contract with a title contender

what do you think?

Not bad.......would be a good pick up, but his role would be very limited compared to what he meant for the Suns last season.

Luke and Morrison are the backup SF's for the Lakers there is no room for anyone else.

i would say that barnes is better than both luke and ammo, and since he would sign for cheap i dont see why not

And if that happens what happens to Luke and Morrison remember the Lakers want to only have a 13 man roster.

Haha. You don't really watch the league you do you. Adam Morrison isn't an nba player. He isn't gonna get minutes. You think he is gonna be in the rotation?

I would love to have him for cheap.

But I can only see that happening if we get rid of Ammo before.

wait a minute... can we even sign him up? Or are you guys proposing a trade?

If im not mistaken.. we don't have any money to acquire him other than 1.8 B.E...
The 7-10mill that we can potentially use is only for LO.

But if you're suggesting trading ammo or luke.. that may work

Barnes for the min? Seriously doubt he takes that after last season. He'd be a nice bench player for sure, but I think his price tag is higher than the minimum.

I would like for us to pick him if we can get on the cheap, he might be willing to take a small pay cut! we can drop sun yue, we save about 800,000. then maybe use are (LLE) with that and a chance to be on a championship team, and maybe win a ring? 8-)

Why would the Suns want any of our scrubs?
