Would you do the above deal? It won't work in the TradeChecker or the Trademachine, but Ithink that's because of cap holds on Smith, Mason and Rose. Once OKC renounces those right, or they retire or sign somewhere else, those holds should disappear, freeing up enough space to do this deal:

Paul/Peja/MoPete for Westbrook/Green/Atkins/Wilkins/Thabo/PHX1st

There is already lively discussion about this topic going on in another thread, but I wanted to make this thread to get an official vote on who would and would not do the deal.

from a fan's perspective obviously okc would have to do it. however, i don't know if okc front office is ready to commit to ~$65 million in salary for 11 players in 2010..

yeah slick 65 mil in 2010 but about 28 mill would be expiring
Lineup this year would be
Paul/Livingston/Weaver/Atkins
Harden/Thabo/Peterson
Durant/Peja/Wilkins
White/Ibaka/Collison
Kristic/Mullens

Add a someone up front for the min and release Chucky

Why are you accepting Chris Paul to be traded?

I think Slick makes a great point about the OKC front office not wanting to take on a ton of salary.

But yes, as a fan who doesn't sign the check how can they say no?

Peja and Mo-Pete are garbage.

So its Westbrook for CP3 and a **** load of $$

I'd like to stick with Russ and Green on this one.

Edit:

oh i thought this was Green AND Westbrook. Just Russ and the other parts I'd do it.

Yes. It's a lot of salary to take on, but you already have an incredible nucleus to work with. STill some decent tradeable assets too.
