I wanted to comment on the IBTL sticky, I don't mind you doing that,
but in terms of cleaning up this fourm, it ain't fun no more on here

I have been a member almost 5 years, and this board just ain't the way it was when I joined

what I do suggest is that we have
a few Mods retire, I do not see any reason this or any fourm to have 10 Mods

I understand your point of cleaning up, but there is no reason for every thread to be locked

I aint mad at you, I am just upset with the way this fourm has changed for (IMO) the worse.

anyway sorry for my rant but I really want this fourm to get back to good times

thing is, unlike the past 5 years, THIS YEAR and last year there have been an enormous amount of new and YOUNG members, who feel the need to create threads every time they want some attention, so i think its actually good to keep this many mods around if not maybe a little less

the problem with the forum is that anyone can sign sup, and lately it seems we have had a lot of 12-15 year old kids signing up and posting "idiotic" things.

No but seriously, i feel like im in Iraq again. some people do go overboard with the IBTL or other stupid posts, but that doesn't mean we should all pay for it.

I agree that the forums aren't what they used to be. I think the thing that bugs a lot of people is the one way flow of communication that has been created on this forum. We're unable to really communicate or relay our concerns in an efficient manner. I know we can email some random yahoo account but the ability to not reply to a PM that has been sent to our account is just plain annoying. If we want to reply to that we are unable to start a thread to do so since that is breaking rules and it seems there is desire from the owners of this site and their moderators to create an open two way form of communication which is why we are here discussing the issues of the forum in a separate thread instead of the original IBTL which was locked right from the beginning.

I've been here for 8 years. It started to go downhill about 4 years ago, but not because of overzealous mods, but because of all the 13 year old kids who started joining and posting complete nonsense. If posting 'IBTL' is your idea of fun, then you're an idiot.

That being said, I would hope that people do keep posting 'IBTL' in every other thread because it makes it easier for me to decide who goes on my ignore list.

I like the ban. I don't see how posting IBTL adds anything, even to a terrible thread, and it's simply not funny either. Getting rid of it is long overdue, even though some posters now will have nothing to say at all, which is fine by me.

I dont say IBTL or any of that stuff, but I guess the only problem people may have with this is, that what makes smart-ass comments in those threads any different than IBTL?
