Ime Udoka: where does he end up?

Post#1 » by Donald Kaufman » Wed Jul 22, 2009 11:57 am

In amongst all the great offseason activity, it seems as though Udoka's kind of been pushed off to the side and forgotten about.

He was initially signed to hopefully be the heir apparent to Bruce Almighty, but he never seemed to find his comfort zone with this team.

Where do you think he finds a home? Do you think he's got what it takes to stick around in the league? Or will he be better off playing overseas?

It's been mentioned that a lot of teams have showed interest in him, but we're probably not one of them. I bet he ends up in Dallas.

I think there is a possiblity that the Bucks could sign him if they can't find a decent starting quality SF.

I wouldn't mind him back as an insurance policy... he's definitely capable to make an impact in stretches.

I'd like to see us take a look at getting Demetris Nichols, Rodney Carney or Yakhouba Diawara, three big SFs.... the last of which proved he has some offensive skill now.

I haven't heard anything about Ime odoodoo. I think he has an ok game and can find a spot in the league somewhere. I think he'll be in a position similar to Devon Brown. Where he kind of bounces around for the league min. No way the spurs bring him back..especially with Hairston playing the way he is. Hopefully Ime finds a home where he can get more mins than what pop was giving him.

He is was way too slow and unathletic last year. I hope he finds a team, as long as that team isn't the Spurs. They need to look towards young athletes to fill out the roster, such as Hairston.

Hairston is another guy that I'd like to see (if there would be room later)

Well we no longer have a roster spot for him so i'm guessing he won't be a Spur next year. But i'm sure a contender will pick him up, he's experienced and he can play defense.

I have heard absolutely no talk about Ime this off season. I know the media has been putting out alot of teams will be carrying the league min roster of 13 vice 15. Wonder if Ime is one of those guys that loses his job.

Not really sure who would want him thou. Right now, Ime's best fit is on a playoff team. He's no good in open court either so it's gotta be some sort of a half court oriented team. And also one that is lacking in perimeter defender and SF.

Don't feel like looking things up, but I wonder how many teams fit that profile.

Kleiza just got overpaid in Greece. I'd expect the Nuggets to replace Kleiza was Udoka.

I actually think Balkman is going to pick up alot of the Kleiza's minutes. But Udoka would be a good addition for them.

I think the loss of Kleiza is going to hurt the Nugs. They'll need more than Balkman to pick up the slack.

They're also going to have Arron Afflalo and Malik Allen picking up some of the slack. I'm also expecting them to pick up another swingman before training camp starts. Udoka could be a good option for them though.

I really think Wally Z can provide a lot of what Kleiza did and at a cheaper prize. What makes Kleiza's value bigger than it really is is his youth.
