What are your expectations?

Post#1 » by GameTime_3 » Thu Jul 23, 2009 4:49 am

What are you expecting out of this year? Playoffs? Super Bowl?

I expect us to be better but have a worse record and miss the playoffs. Ginn becomes a solid WR, Chad Henne sees some playing time and Vonte shows the league why he should of gone earlier.

Playoffs is a realistic goal, but I agree with you that we may be better but have a worse record. Still, I love this team's attitude and makeup. Very selfless and efficient.

One thing, it'd be hard to ask Pennington to be any better than he was last year, what a revelation, I hope he continues like that.

I think Buffalo and Houston might be the easiest match ups. Sucks because both teams gives us fits all the time.

I think we will have around the same record within a game but the other teams in our div. will be better than last year.

Yeah I agree with Jets but Pats and Bills will be tough but I think we will be up there.

One thing that scares: Chad has never played back to back full seasons. Also, our team is still young at Key positions and you cant expect to repeat a 11 win season.

I say playoffs. At least 10 wins. Battling the patsies for the East. I'd feel really good if we could sustain our success from last year. After our miserable recent history I just need confirmation that this regime is legit. I love how we addressed the secondary. Hopefully, the oline will take that next step. If Pen can be again what he was last year, my expectations are for improvement as a team. Even if it doesn't translate into a big win jump because our schedule is so sticky.

yeah our schedule is TOUGH this year, especially compared to last year's cakewalk of a schedule combined with the fact that every team overlooked us ALL season. We arent going to sneak up on teams this year as easily.

10-11 wins and a playoff appearance would be considered a success IMO, but I think its going to be hard for Pennington to string together two straight injury free, great seasons..but one can hope.

I think Tedd Ginn Jr is going to become a major stud this year and Ronnie Brown will be better then last year as well.

the thing is....all we need to do is get in the playoffs because at that point the team that is closest to full strength and firing on all cylinders can do some damage and advance...

the nfl changes to much year to year for me to buy into this whole touch schedule bs.

i mean for one you play the same schedule as the rest of your div with the exception of 2-3 games...and 2 if a previous years div winner is terrible this year, thats not surprising in the least.

health is all that matters (chad) . if the phins are right all season i see them getting a wildcard behind the pats.
