Did I Miss Something? Bizarre Quote re: Nash

Post#1 » by JohnVancouver » Sun Jul 26, 2009 7:16 pm

from evilmonito.com in an article about "infidelity, drug use and mysterious deaths in the celebrity realm ... Still, every day we read about girls that the likes of Kobe, Shaq or Steve Nash are keeping on the side. Ask any professional athlete under condition of anonymity and they’ll tell you that keeping girls on the side, flying them into away games and paying them to keep quiet is business as usual in professional sports. Magic Johnson didn’t get HIV from his wife, and Wilt Chamberlin wasn’t married 10,000 times.
Even worse, the slate is usually wiped clean with the next MVP trophy or game-winning shot."

I've never heard anything of the sort about Nash.

What!!!? No way, I've never even heard of Steve cheating on his wife. In fact he is more known as a family guy, than anything else. If he is/was cheating, he is the best at it because I've never read a story or article about this.

It was probably Carmelo Anthony that wrote that story.

Can you post an exact quote of what you are referring to? I couldn't find it.

On the topic, I have great personal admiration for Nash because I truly believe that he is the upstanding person that he is portrayed as. I'd be very disappointed to learn otherwise.

idk if it was true or not but i think about 2 years ago TMZ reported something about him cheating on his wife i remember because i was talking with a friend that if steve dropped to that level i dont think i could be a fan. but it was only talked about for a couple days, nothing serious but i DO remember hearing/discussing this.

The Dirty had a story about Nash hooking up with women and copping feels in Scottsdale bars. I think that was almost 2 years ago.I was kinda surprised but also, not. All these guys cheat on their wives it seems.

I don't buy it....in 2005-2006 I worked at a upscale lounge in Scottsdale. Nash came in every now and then with his wife in their range rover (bumper sticker said "boycott veal"). They seemed to get along very well. Both Nash and his wife were always polite, tiped well, and I never saw Nash with other women. His wife would come in solo with her friends every now and then...but that was it.

As for other Suns players...different story. I once loaded 3 blondes into the 745i of an unnamed Phoenix player once...and none of them were his wife.

As for the TMZ story about Nash and Nelly Furtado...it was ****.

Man, the internet is dangerous -- anyone anywhere can post anything, and all of a sudden is the truth.

I'm not saying this is true or false -- but in the words of Coolio, "don't believe everything you read fool"

did I just quote Coolio? 8-)

That is all BS until we see further proof. Nash seen with college chicks? Maybe he was talking with them, laughing, etc. Who knows, but people blow stuff out of proportion. Just cause you are seen next to another woman does not mean you are cheating.

If I were Steve Nash, or any other national athlete, I would have a "roap trip only" clause in my marriage contract.

I'm sure they all do

Come on guys

If that's the case I think you should stop watching professional sports all together, I'd say at least 75% of them cheat, and that's being generous. If I had to put money on it I'd bet 90%.

These guys are groomed from a young age to think they are the best and unfortunately most play by their own rules. Not that it makes them bad people, they just have a certain sense of entitlement.

It's easy for us normal folks to say we would never behave like them if we were in their shoes but we haven't lived their life. we haven't been given everything we wanted our whole lives (i assume anyways).
