Grade My Deal!!

Post#1 » by Calderon » Tue Jul 28, 2009 2:53 am

To him: Joe Johnson, Drew Gooden, 13th pick, 49th pick

To me: Jameer Nelson, David Lee, 7th pick, 32 pick.

We are in an 8 cat keeper league. Good deal?

For those who are interested, these are the players I have to pick 4 keepers from after the trade:

Baron Davis
O.J. Mayo
Antawn Jamison
David Lee
Andrea Bargnani
Elton Brand
Jameer Nelson
Grant Hill
Richard Hamilton
Kirk Hinrich

Again, I didnt put this team together.

Can't see anything wrong with it:

Meer >= JJ
Lee (if he gets a team) >>>>> Gooden
7th pick > 13th pick
32nd pick > 49th pick

Great deal for you.

Nelson is as good as JJ if not better. Lee is infinitely better than Gooden and you moved up in the draft.

For keepers, you have 7 players that can be considered as keepers.
Baron Davis
O.J. Mayo
Antawn Jamison
David Lee
Andrea Bargnani
Elton Brand
Jameer Nelson

So if you can make a 2(or 3) for 1 trade where you get a top-15 player then it would be sweet. If you stay put then I'd go with Baron-OJ-Nelson-Brand as keepers.

Jamison is a bit too old(33)and with all the new fire-power in Wizards plus Arenas' comeback, his stats may take a hit. Lee's stats may take a significant hit if he leaves in NY (plus he may not lose some minutes and shots with Gallinari being healthy (hence Chandler will get more playing time at 4), Hill getting 20-25 mpg(if not more) and Curry cracking into rotation in order to showcase him as a trade bait. Bargnani is still a level below the rest fantasy-wise.

For anybody who cares, the deal changed a little bit.

I sent out: Joe Johnson, Rip Hamilton, Andrea Bargnani, last pick in 2nd round pick

I got: Carmelo Anthony, Jameer Nelson, Mike Bibby, mid 1st round pick

My keepers are now Carmelo Anthony, Jameer Nelson, and Antawn Jamison. Since I only have 3 keepers, I get to pick any player I want from the players who were not selected as keepers. I also now have two first round picks including the first overall. Thoughts?

I also sent out Elton Brand and the last pick in the 8th round for Luke Ridonour and the first pick in the sixth round. This was because I have a player that I want to select from the pool of players not on any teams.

This is kind of lame because I dont think anybody is paying any attention to my thread, but I'm going to do an update on how my league is going.

-I selected David West as my fourth keeper
-I selected Andris Biedrins with the first pick
-I selected Ray Allen with the seventh pick
-I traded Carmelo Anthony, the 48th pick, and the 73rd pick for Tony Parker, the 35th pick, and the 38th pick
-I selected David Lee with the 25th pick

My lineup as of now is

Jameer Nelson
Ray Allen
Tony Parker
Antawn Jamison
David West
Andris Biedrins
David Lee

I selected Jeff Green with the 35th pick
I selected Hedo Turkoglu with the 38th pick

Any comments? Suggestions?
