What other teams are you going to follow this season?

Post#1 » by Calinks » Wed Jul 29, 2009 6:54 pm

Seeing as how David Kahn has taken so many Timberwolves and seeded them around the country to grow, I will be following a couple of teams more closely this year. I have to see the LA Clippers. They got the number one pick Blake Griffin who looks like a monster. They also have my man Craigers and it will be interesting to see Bassy too. I have kind of been behind the Clippers since 2005 anyway so now I have even more reason to check them out.

I am also looking very forward to watching the Wizards. I think Foye and Mike Miller will have a major impact on that team and people are underestimating them. That squad is crazy deep now. All they need in a good bigman. I'm excited for the upcoming season.

I'd like to see the Wizards pose a threat. Then it'll be game 7 of the ECF and Arenas and Foye will go down with freak injuries and Sam Cassell will tear off his suit to reveal "#19" jersey and he'll start draining clutch jumpers and KG will just shake his head in disbelief which will be entirely weird because the Wizards will be facing the Cavs - KG, why are you here??!!!? Because he's roaming the earth like Kwai Chang Caine, thats why

I've heard the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders have a pretty good squad. I might follow them some more.

Once a player leaves the Wolves they're dead to me. Hear that Mad Dog? You're dead to me!

I'm sorry Marky Mark, I didn't mean that. :(

I don't think I have the time to focus on more than one team...that being the Minnesota Timberwolves. I will however check in on Foye and Miller with the Wiz, and the Clips with the new wolves and my man Blake Griffin aka...truck. Another team I'm starting to like is the Bulls. I was cheering for them big time in the playoffs because I absolutely HATE the KGless Celtics and now I'm kind of intrigued. That's basketball.

In terms of football I'll be watching the Cowboys as usual, but I'll be keeping an extra keen eye on them as my old die-hard fanness for them is fading. I always keep an eye on the Vikes as well.

College basketball I will be following my beloved Cyclones as usual. I'll probably take a look once in a while at any team that has an NBA prospect that we could want as well.

Baseball I will/am watching the twins...MTFFL

Wait....what sport was this for?

I'll keep my eye on the Wizards but the Wolves will be playing 82 regular season games just like everyone else.

Wolves like the dickens, and then Celtics, Clippers, Wiz, wherever Rashad ends up, and probably a few others that catch my attention as the season goes on.

College hoops I'll be at all the Home Hawkeyes games and follow the rest of the big ten.
For football I'll be watching the Cowboys and Farveless Vikings.
And until it's over I'll be following the Twins and Cubs.

As a European I have a hard time following the wolves games properly so I guess I won't be able to follow other teams as much as I would want to.

I would want to follow some of the other young teams though....blazers, thunder, clippers, warriors, nets, grizzlies...just to compare them to our team. And of course I would follow KG and Ray Allen in Boston and Foye and Miller in Washington.

Guess thats a lot teams I'd like to follow xD

I tend to follow this setiment. I like to see how the younger teams and "underdogs" are fairing. Memphis and OKC due to like situations to the Wolves. Also, Atlanta (old-school Dominique fan) and they have some pieces we may be looking to aquire. The Wiz due to former players and coach (always been a Flip fan).

EDIT: Oh, and the local highschool basketball scene. Don't mind the coaching and scouting, but it can get tedious at times (the scouting that is).

Blasphemoy. That's my dream job. Someday, someday when I win the lottery and can afford the $5k a year salary. :-)

My team is the Pistons, but the other team i will be following is the T-Wolves.

I watched a lot of Minnesota games because my boy Cardinal got traded there and worked his way into the rotation.

I really like K-Love's game, and Big Al a true post scorer is a pleasure to watch. Haven't seen one on the pistons in many many years.

Am hoping Rubio comes over this year, with Flynn and the rest of the core, i think the Wolves will be a border line playoff team if Al stays healthy.

Also hoping to see Cardinal earn some rotation minutes again this year!

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
