Bruce Bowen available?

Post#1 » by Shooly » Fri Jul 31, 2009 9:18 pm

Insidehoops twitter page just reported Bruce Bowen was waived by Milwaukee. Any chance we could pick him up?

I'm all for someone who can play D and irritate the opposition but i don't think Bruce is healthy, i'd have to see him pass a physical w/ the Suns trainers

bring on KT and Bruce-Lee Bowen. 2 solid old as dirt players. We can use their D a little.

Are you kidding? Bruce Bowen is a hated enemy of the Phoenix Suns, just maybe behind Robert Horry. Chances of Phoenix picking him up: -30%

New to the board, long time lurker, die hard Suns fan all my life.

True, Bowen is hated for his days with the Spurs, but he's still a great defensive player that the Suns could use. We need a strong defender in our back court and Richardson/Barbosa ain't gonna cut it defensively.

Don't know how much it would cost us though and Sarver's not likely to pony up too much to bring him in.

No. I'd rather take a fan in the audience then let Bruce Bowen play for us. Two hated players in Phoenx are Robert Horry and Bruce Bowen.

I'll pass. Remember, this is the dude that kneed Nash in the jibblets.

Its kinda like when Cassell and Horry came to the Suns for the Chuckster... it just felt dirty.

Plus, he's gotta be going back to the Spurs... its what happens to all of the decent players that the Spurs trade away. They always end up coming back within a couple of weeks.

No, Bruce Bowen and Greg Popavich relationship has deteriorated so that most likely won't happen. Bruce Bowen will probably go to the Celtics or retire. Maybe Pistons.

Don't laugh guys ... remember we signed Mario Elie after he broke our hearts.

Altho I don't think he's as good a defender as he once was he's still miles better then our next best perimeter defender. Head says yes, heart says STFU before I clock you one.

Congrats on your first post being the mental equivalent of wanting George Bush to run for a 3rd term.

It doesn't make any difference to me, two of my two most hated players are already on the Suns and I still root for them so why not add a third...

If we signed him at least we'd have something to talk about :)

I feel honored to be insulted by the likes of the token "mud thrower" of this board. I feel right at home now. :)

Some of these new topics that have been created, are surprisingly (Please Use More Appropriate Word). BRUCE BOWEN?

Bruce Bowen is (put any profanity word(s) of your choice here) - STOP MAKING (Please Use More Appropriate Word) ASS THREADS.

I know this is a forum; but give me a break, its becoming more and more ESPN boards with people creating/discussing random ass nonsense. I miss the intelligent posts that were created here before. What happen to you all?

Maybe not a popular thread subject but it is a valid question... if he didn't create it someone else would have... just like every time someone is waived.

To be honest as much as I hate Bowen, if he could still play at a high level I wouldn't mind having him on the suns, imagine if he could get under the spurs/lakers skin as much as he did ours, plus he'd fit the offense nicely as a 3 point shooter... but it's a moot point as I dont think he can play at a high level anymore.

I wonder what type of reception not from just the phoenix fans in general, but the Arizona community itself would have toward Bowen in PHX? I can actually believe this time that we would have people boycotting @ us airways.

Return to Phoenix Suns
