Tony Parker for Baron Davis works...but does it make sense?

Post#1 » by Alymero » Sat Aug 1, 2009 3:32 pm

As an aging actress in Hollywood, Eva Longoria would naturally want to spend a lot more time in L.A. in the coming years fighting younger talent for roles, right? Anyway, in theory she'd want her man T-Park living close-by, right? Then if the two are really together for the long haul, might she contribute to a trade demand that would maybe send T-Park to the Clippers for say...BARON DAVIS?

Makes no sense at all. Why would the spurs trade a rising superstar for an aging under achiever. When Baran davis is on he's on. But the guy lacks motivation, focus, and is injury prone. Tony has grown up in our system, been to war many times and last year carried the team on his back. Not even close.

Coming to think of it..not many players in the league the spurs would even consider trading him for.

I wouldn't trade Parker for B. Diddy.

I'm not asking if the deal is fair, which it is not.
If Eva wants Tony in L.A. he'll be in L.A. since she wears the pants in that relationship and has all the leverage knowing that T-Park has to work extra hard to keep her interested in the hustle and bustle of L.A. microwave marriages that last about as long as it takes to cook a bag of pop corn.
Now, all I'm saying is if Tony wants out, he can make things quite unpleasant and distracting for the Spurs until he gets his way. And don't tell me Tony is above all that when he's already bitching and moaning about having to leave his French team this summer because a little injury has concerned the Spurs team doctors.

I thought Baron Davis wanted to live in L.A. due to his involvement with the entertainment industry and his production company.

Anyway, this should be less about what Eva wants and more about what Mr. Longoria wants.

alymero consistently your logic is terrible
wtf would the spurs get rid of their best player for a cocky underachiever that would never fit into the spurs system, where's the evidence that tony is scheming a way out of SA?
just cause he is dissapointed the SA doctors want to check him doesnt mean he is fed up and wants a trade, get real

I'm a Baron Davis fan, but trading Tony for his would be unbridled lunacy.

That would be a worse chemistry killing trade than the Allen Iverson to Detroit deal... at least he was a 21 million dollar expiring.

B-diddy is not... so you'd be stuck with him. Thank god Poppovich and Buford run the show.

Well, at least we aren't Cleveland... seriously... Indians, Cavs, Browns... ouch.

To answer the OP question, no, it doesn't make sense.

Not at all, not at any level.

we have a winner!
Why would we care at all what she wants? Parker is staying in San Antonio unless Cavs wanna donate Lebron to us period

It makes no sense for the Spurs at all and we wouldn't even consider it.
