If Larry and David have one good move left; what would you think they shold do?
Some options:
>Daniels S&T with Celtics for a filler player-SF-(may not used much but in a contract year) and a draft pick
>Daniels S&T with Celtics in a 3 way. Would would join in?? Nets(big baby)
>Let Daniels go and do a deal with Milwaukee to get Sessions (involves Ford). Maybe get a SF as a throw in.
>Do a 3 way that involves Bucks and another team (Celtics, Heat, Nets are my choices) to get Sessions
>Let Daniels walk and do nothing now; save for trades later in the first have of 09 after watching Dunleavy return, maybe wait until trade deadline in 2010.
>Do we go after a SF?
>Others

I'd like to see Marquis sign-and-trade for Bill Walker. I had my eye on him before he was drafted. He'd fill a position need (as injury insurance and offensive injection if Dahntay Jones can't muster it) and is a solid prospect to stash.

Ya sure Fien?? Ya know we could always try to sign Lattrell Sprewell out of retirement?

Trade Diener for a young SF. Sign Price.

Re: Last Player Move B4 09-10 Season
I think the last move will be signing a minimum comp. wing player to a non-guaranteed contract. Sounds like Duleavy will be back a good bit sooner than originally thought so this player will be the 5th wing. Dunleavy and Granger are argueably the two best players on the team and Rush has the potential to make Dunleavy a bench player. The team didn't get Jones to sit on the bench. Being the 5th wing on this team is not a very desireable assignment if your objective is to play. The Pacers clearly need a body but don't need to make anything beyond a minimal investment.
The comments on Sessions are interesting. I suggested persuing this guy two months ago under the premise that he could be acquired at a relatively low cost. My suggestion was to throw the full MLE at him and the response was that that would never be enough. If the Bucks are in fact unwilling to match anything more than 3 mil per year it would appear a starting salary of slightly more than what we gave to Earl Watson could have gotten the job done.
That ship has sailed at this point. If I'm understanding the base year compensation rules any sign and trade scenario for Sessions would be really difficult.
All personnel moves this off-season have been very consistent, low risk but geared to being better this year.

I like Deiner as a person and as a 3rd string PG but we can't continue to carry 4 PG only players on our roster. This makes as much sense as anything.
Something like a 2 million expiring deal? Someone has to be looking to shed money now or at the deadline. People don't often give up on young draft picks, but mid priced vets on longer deals? Larry legend will find a body.

Sign a veteran SF like Bowen, and then be done with the offseason.

Re: Last Player Move B4 09-10 Season
I honestly think that our final move will be to sign Stephen Graham to a min. type deal. Once Dunleavy comes back I could see us waiving him then. It would keep us at 14 players the whole time then.
