Yanks @ Jays: The kryptonite to a comfortable finish

Post#1 » by Dr. Detfink » Wed Sep 16, 2009 1:10 am

With the Red Sox up 2-0 over their bitches, the Angels...the Yanks are due to cut their lead over the Al East from 8 games to 6.5 in little over a week. Thanks to losing 2 out of three games to the O's, this set up Toronto with the perfect opportunity to turn up the heat on the Yanks comfort level.

Roy Halladay vs. Sergio Mitre: It's MITRE TIME! 4 home runs are enough for the Jays to hold on for a win.

What this does, puts ALL the pressure on AJ Burnett and CC Sabbathia to win EVERY START from here till the WS.

BTW let me know when you're worried. The Yanks offense has sputtered on and off for a week now.

I already created a game thread, but I agree, time to turn up the heat... we are marching clowns like mitre out there and the sox are bringing back Dice K and he throws 6 shut out innings.... 6.5 game lead can easily go to 4.5 after this jays series if we don't play any better.... we are limping to the finish line it seems..
