Hopefully this will be a break-out game for Forte. This is the first game of the season where we will not face the vaunted 3-4 defense.... so let's see if the running game can get going.

At this point, our run blocking has to improve....it can't get any worse. Hopefully the Bears are working on some new run blocking schemes this week.

Considering the offense faces the 3-4 in practice all the time... you would think that we would be more prepared for it. Oh well.

Fank Gore of Samurai Mike's 49ers managed to rack up 207 rushing on 16 carries against the Seahawks this past weekend, so maybe we will see Forte's coming out party.
A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

Why didn't the Bears offer Singletary or any other ex-Bear greats a job over the years ? Strange.

The plan is simple: Go be BEAR-Like and clip the Seahawk wings early, and then saute them in buffalo sauce. After a few taste testings, post the recipe online, and voila, instant success in all facets.

and yeah, whatever this Balance-a-Bulls just said! :) I wondered about the Singletary thing too for quite some time.

all i've heard all week is how hostile Seahawks stadium is. well, they may be true...but it cant be any more hostile than GB or denver. plus the seahawks are really beat up. i think it will be close (are any Bear games not close).

BEARS 28, SEA-PIDGEONS 24.

Forte 24 carries/120 yards rushing, 8 receptions/56 yards receiving, 2 TD's

Cutler 21-31/255 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

Hester 4 receptions/89 yards, TD

Olsen 8 receptions/64 yards

Its not actual hostility which implies a little a bit of hatred so much as the noise never ever stops in Qwest Field. There was even a scandal of them pumping out crowd noise artificially through speakers.

Of course they will shutup if the Bears go up big, so the best course of action would be to jump on them ASAP and never look back

Hmmm....or was it the naked pic of Santonio Holmes ? If we lose this one, I'm going to have to bring back SH.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh is preparing himself for a monster week against the Bears, regardless of who plays quarterback for Seattle.

Starter Matt Hasselbeck was sidelined with a fractured rib at practice Wednesday, and Seneca Wallace took the first-team reps in practice, but that hasn't stopped the veteran wide receiver from fashioning big plans. He has 10 catches for 110 yards through the Seahawks' first two games and pointed out those are the types of numbers he's accustomed to producing in a single week. After the Bears didn't give him so much as a sniff in free agency, he's prepared to show them what type of mistake they made.

"Ah, man, the Bears ain't hollered at me, man,'' Houshmandzadeh said on a teleconference with reporters. "Jerry Angelo probably didn't think I could play, so I'm going to show him Sunday."

Houshmandzadeh has started doing his homework too, reciting that second-year cornerback Zack Bowman, a fifth-round draft pick, is from Nebraska.

"I started watching film yesterday,'' Houshmandzadeh said. "Obviously, last week was his first week starting against Pittsburgh. He did fairly well. For him, it's just kind of getting out there and getting a feel for it. Obviously, coming from Nebraska, I am assuming when he first got to Nebraska they were probably a run team and they kind of evolved into a passing team, so he probably got better as his college career went on.

Qwest is way more formidable than Green Bay or Denver... it's not imported crowd noise, that was looked into, but it is an acoustic architecture that naturally amplifies noise.

That being said the crowd will probably be the best defender the 'Hawks have. two starting LB's are out, our best DT, and two of our best CB's. Gore killed us partially because of injury, but also because the Hawks stacked the run with 9 in the box and then the safeties plain missed tackles. So yes, I think Forte could have a break out game.

Other than home crowd and lots of talent at WR, we don't have much going for us. Julius Jones has been pretty mediocre at best, our O-line is shuffled and injured, and the secondary wasn't good when it was healthy let alone now.

Only a few lucky strikes on offense and a Jay Cutler turnover fest can win this for Seattle imo.

^we already won with that pic

...regardless, I'd be shocked if we don't come away with a win. Our offense seems to be progressing, and our defense just notched a hard fought win without Urlacher. This win will be another small step in becoming our own this season.

Prepare to shield your eyes. The Seahawks are wearing alternate neon green uniforms. Bears should wear their orange unis.

ZachZaidman-Bears wore all white in Green Bay and lost. Today they're going with white tops and blue pants

ZachZaidman I'm told Bears wearing blue pants because Lance Briggs likes them. Urlacher likes the all white look
