Since the Bears have signed Shaw and McClover...

Can we please cut Rashied Davis and bring back Brandon Rideau? Don't we have enough full time special teamers for Rideau to get a spot? Could we maybe sign a decent full fledged compliment to Forte?

Rashied had a few nice catches in garbage time last game and is an excellent special teamer. I agree there is really no need to have so many guys solely dedicated to special teams with no chance of playing elsewhere but when we have injuries like we did it's hard to bring in people off the streets who have more value than just as special teamers. Also, our special teams played a huge role in our win against Detroit so hard to call out special teamers who are coming off a dominant performance. I have a feeling this will be Rashied's last year here and if we were to get rid of him we would have done it prior to the season.

What, so Rideaeu can sit on the bench and not do crap? the other Devin(won't even try to spell his last name) hasn't even done crap yet, let alone a guy that if he's still out there and hasn't signed with a team probably won't be doing anything.

Davis is EVERYWHERE on Special teams. He makes a lot of tackles. That alone should be reason to keep him ESPECIALLY with Idonjie out, Peterson out(for four weeks, and yeah, good luck filling that role with Rideau) Wolfe getting extended carries(less special teams for him because we don't want our only running back to be freaking Mckie). It's too risky.

We definitely don't need any more depth at WR, as funny as that sounds. Knox, Hester and Bennett all have done nice jobs establishing themselves while we rarely ever go to 4 wide sets. The 4th wide receiver will be Devin Aromashodu once he's ready to go again, with Davis #5 and Iglesias #6. Nothing wrong with that.

Where did you get your injury report from? I hadn't heard AP was out 4 weeks.

I think that guy is going to be somewhere on the 2010 draft board. If AP is only out a couple of weeks then why make a roster move to find his replacement? It'll be up to Forte and probably practice squad pickup Kahlil Bell (undrafted rookie FA out of UCLA) to pick up the slack.
Turn down for what?

I meant to say 3 to 4 weeks and it's a sprain MC and that's the grim analysis of his injury. The report says 2-3 at least.

I'm watching the intrepid turd of a game between Oakland and the G-Men. Michael Bush is a decent RB. I know SD tried to trade for him last season and I can see why. Not fast but he drives into the contact and just scored. Haha. He'd be worth getting. Big and can block. Worth trying to trade for.
