Eh. Lebron posterized him the other night on that dunk attempt. Lebron has better hops then Rondo. I don't see how this could happen. Maybe Rondo could try a tricky under the basket move - but thats his only hope..

Well, one guy is 6-8 the other is 6-1. That is why I didn`t think that block was anything special...I can block a guy 7 inches shorter than me without a problem to...

Unfortunately, Rondo is terrible at protecting the ball in his drives, and most of the time he telegraphs what he is going to do. Everyone knew what move Rondo was making, he couldn't have made it easier for Lebron if he tried. If Rondo does that same move a hundred times against Lebron, I doubt he gets it in even once.

Rondo might do it once but it'll probably take him about 10 tries. Lebron's defense got a lot angrier.

Against the Cavs, Rondo really tried to posterize Lebron. He completely exposed the ball in an effort to make a spectacular play. He'll definitely be trying the same thing again. If it does happen, I'll be hanging the poster on my wall.

I'd prefer he set it off the glass to get the goaltending call, but that's just me.

Looking at that play opening night, I think Rondo was aware that there was a good possibility his shot would be blocked but that it was worth the risk. It was. If he got lucky and threw that down on Lebron, it could've been highlight material all year. Instead, it was regular highlight filler for Lebron. I do think he will try again if he gets the chance, something tells me Rondo wants to dunk on all the big names around the league after his dunk against the Magic.

However, I don't see any way Rondo ever dunks on Lebron unless he just gets lucky. No reason to stop trying. Yet.

Yep. Rondo almost ALWAYS gets his ass stuffed, even on **** fast breakaways...this has been happening for a couple of years. He also tries to go for the dunk WAY too often (and ends up failing miserably) where a lay-up would do. I love the kid, but his stubbornness is aggravating from time to time...

Rondo shouldve done a reverse layup, but whatever. it's not a big deal.

I always wondered why no one would try and do a head fake. If they did I be James would go flying by.
Reggie stood out like a sore thumb no tattoos no agenda no chirping nothing Just a guy who could score at will He played college ball at Northeastern he replaced Larry as Celtics captain he belonged to Boston.
And I still miss him. Even now.

Lebron's elbows were above the rim and both hands were all over the ball. There was no move that wasnt' going to get blocked. If you are not a strong closer (like Lebron)... that shot was getting blocked.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Rondo is not the best finisher. I know some Rondo maniac will pull out some 'stat' but it's plain he doesn't finish as well as he could or should to the eye..IMHO. Rondo is cat quick but not hugely explosive.

With Rondos hands he should be throwing an early fake and finishing a reverse or something when a big guy, especially lebron is chasing him down court

Sure he might get lucky and dunk on him, or the other big guys but on break aways like that u dont want to be having a mid air collision with someone 280 ish running at full speed

Well, the only thing would have been something tricky to hopefully make him guess wrong, or foul in the block attempt. Rondo having the ball in 1 hand above his head, it was ripe for the picking.

The other thing that impressed me about the block, was that Lebron came from a long way back to make that play. Rondo is pretty speedy, Lebron ran him down. If he ever gets on a team that has a plan to get good complimentary players around him, he's likely to run off a bunch of championships.

He probably will, but it won't be a dunk in LeMug rather just a contested finish. I'm not sure if you guys saw it in the Cleveland-Orlando series, but Courtney Lee was blocked by James in almost the same fashion on a break. But he came back and beat LeBron to the finish on two other occasions. I didn't exactly consider those as "posterizing him", but the vast majority of fans did.
