As most Knicks fans probably know, the New York Knicks started off as the New York Knickerbockers. According to the article that I've linked, it quickly was shortened to Knicks. So, has the name New York Knickerbockers totally disappeared or is it still the official name of the Knicks, like Wikipedia suggests? Have the Knicks, in recent years, ever played in a retro Knickerbocker uniform?
