Schefter just reported that the Rams released him. Yeah, nowhere to go but up (or the retirement home) for Mr. Smith.

Bring him back for a workout? We need help at covering kicks/punts, so I wouldn't be opposed to it.

Anthony Smith has now been released by one of the top teams in the league (Steelers), one of the worst teams in the league (Rams), and a middle of the pack (pun unintended) team. I wish I knew what his deal was. He seemed like too good of a player to get cut by 3 teams in less than a year.

Looks like we put in a claim on him, but Jacksonville got him ahead of us. Wow, Ted, just wow...

We'll just claim him in a few weeks when the Jags cut him.

OH NO!

Anything but losing out on a guy so bad that the Rams cut him.

My point wasn't that they lost out on him. I think it's pathetic that Ted put in a waiver claim on a guy he had and cut.

What are you talking about??? You don't think it says anything that he put in a waiver claim on a guy he had on the roster and cut? I think TT has done some good things in Green Bay, I'm not making a comment on how I feel overall about him or the job he's done at all...
