It's been a pretty rough couple of days for the Spurs and I've decided to look at some of the positives. Mostly because listing the negatives would take too long, and would likely end up with me going on a Finley and Bonner rant.
*Jefferson has been great at attacking the rim. The rumours of him being a jumpshooter have been pretty false, he goes hard to the hoop and racks up fouls on the other team at a very nice clip. The fact that this is present in his game allows me to overlook the other problems.
*Today I saw some shades of the Ginobili we've all come to know and love. Yes, he was playing like a total rockhead but he was slicing his way into the paint and making things happen at times. We'll see the Manu of old when he gets into game shape.
*Roger Mason has really impressed me in the last couple of games. He looks to be moving well and playing with real purpose offensively. Hopefully Pop continues playing him over Fin.
*I really enjoyed Bogans' defense intensity. He set a tone during the fourth quarter comeback and did a nice job on Roy.

Re: Bright Spots
Bogans has been great so far, I really like the way he's been playing and I hope he keeps starting.
Mason has been impressive off the bench and I would really like to see Finely removed from the rotation and see Bogans and Mason fill his role.
We've started off slow but I think we can turn it around once Duncan, Manu and Dyce start getting into the groove of things and shake off some of the rust.

My only bright spot so far is Blair.
His foul problems was expected. But to give us nearly 8 points and 8 boards in 19 minutes and 66% shooting is something I didn't expect at all. He can have foul problems every game as long as he doesn't foul out in 19 minutes if he can give us 8 points and 8 boards everytime.

The biggest suprise with him has been his offense. I really wasn't expecting him to be an as effective scorer as he's been. He's got some good low post moves and he's a good finisher around the rim.

Re: Bright Spots
Well I haven't got a Spurs game since the 2nd game of the season and Jefferson's numbers has been awesome ever since the 3rd game to now. I wonder how much change in his game since that 2nd game. Statistically, Jefferson hasn't disappoint at all. In fact, cut out the first 2 games of the season, he's been better than what I expected.
