Count Denver's Karl a Joe Johnson fan

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Mon Nov 9, 2009 6:18 am

Denver coach George Karl paid Hawks guard Joe Johnson a compliment by adjusting his starting lineup Saturday night to defend the three-time all-star.

Karl gave backup Joey Graham his first start of the season to guard Johnson, who entered the game averaging 21.2 points per game.

"I love him," Karl said of Johnson. "He's one of my favorite unsung guys. He's efficient, defensive-minded, he loves to play the best guy defensively and likes the ball in his hands offensively. At the end of the game, he's going to be a defensive problem and an offensive problem."

I'd be fine without JR, and offering a first as well... man that would be sick.

Haha, that would be sick except I think we would have to do:
Bibby
Mo
Melo
Smoove
Horf

Just so our bench remains strong, and so the defense doesn't allow 120 per game.

Should he get a max contract? I doubt it. If Denver wants him bad enough and he wants to leave, tell them to send us JR Smith, Birdman and Ty Lawson. I don't feel Bibby distribute the ball enough and Lawson can be the future for us.

I still want to Amare on this team next year or year after next. We need his low post scoring.

Thabeet is a stiff.
Sheldon is the closest thing to Ben Wallace out there.
Rondo, Dude is waaaaayyyy overrated.
