So the bucks signed salim stoudamire to my knowledge a completely unguaranteed contract this summer.
Anyways I was checking sham and storytellers for the correct salary amount and the biggest difference was storytellers had 350 K for salim who was cut after summer league and sham had him count for nothing.
So my question is even tho a player has an unguaranteed contract wouldn't the pay checks he recieve in the summer count against the cap like storytellers showed it.
I know this doesn't sound like a big deal but I like to participate in the trades and transactions board and the bucks can't go into the lux under any conditions so 350 k extra could be useful.
Thanks in advance.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Sham is correct.
Your belief that SS received paychecks for summer league is erroneous.
That league is considered to be somewhat of an extended tryout (for players without a team or guarantee) and extra training for those who are already set. As such, players without guaranteed deals are there on their own, so to speak, with no pay involved. The teams pay meals, lodging, transportation to and from the player’s home to the site of the summer league, and to and from the site of the player’s lodging during the summer league to the site of summer-league-related activities, and they may also purchase a disability insurance policy for the player covering the term of the applicable summer league in event of injury.
Salim counts 350K only if the deal he signed was NOT a pure make-good and had a partial guarantee of 350K. Given the roster crunch the Bucks had at the time, I'm thinking a partial guarantee was quite unlikely.
