The Nate Jawai Fan Club

Post#1 » by Klomp » Wed Nov 18, 2009 7:16 am

This fan club already has one member:

"Nathan has impressed the coaching staff from day one," Rambis said. "He's very light on his feet, he can move well, he understands the game. He was doing a lot of his stuff tonight against very good centers in this league," Rambis said following the Portland game.

Intelligent basketball fans will see the innate abilities from Jawai. However, Wolves fans should take notice of the engaging personality out of their new big man in the post. President of basketball of operations David Kahn has already signed up for the fan club.

"He seems to have a really sweet personality, gentle at least off the floor and he seems really happy all the time. You know, he seems happy to be here and I like that." Kahn said.

Who else is a part of this fan club?

I'm on board. I've obviously followed him for a while. It's great to see more Aussies entering the league, especially Nate considering his background.

now that Michael Jordan is busy ruining the Bobcats he doesn't need his hands anymore so we should go for his hands and try to transplate them to Jawai. with MJ's hands (and 30lbs less weight) he'd be a boarderline all star IMO.

^ looking at Jawai in your avy it looks like he's playing for Antarctica. the word on his jersey is probably Australia though.

If he's in Minny beyond this season I might stick him in my avy. But that's doubtful lol.

You should use this one twiz...

I'm not apart of this club, big man has some nice touch on his jumper, but he's too slow horizontally and vertically. Slow to loose balls, doesn't explode into the defender on offense, doesn't contest shots.

I am. Although not as much as I was 15 months ago. He could make a very nice bench big in 2011.

I think we start the rumor that Kevin Love is 2nd generation Aussie, it'd really revitalize Australian interest in Timberwolves basketball

David Anderson is doing well for Houston, Bogut was playing at all star level for Milwaukee but is out for a few weeks. Bogut is their defensive anchor.

Jawai with a nice contribution off the bench so far against Portland, 3-3 free throws and a block in 5 minutes.

I would love to see a 2 year extension on Jawai starting at $900,000. But for that money, he might be better off going back to Australia. Still, it'd be nice to actually see him develop and then stay with the team.

Jawai would be a real force inside if he was 2 or 3 inches longer.
