Thanks to Jordan for mentioning the C's greats!

Post#1 » by phoolishly_insane » Fri Nov 20, 2009 4:20 am

Michael Jordan appreciated the gesture from LeBron James, but he doesn't believe his No. 23 should be retired across the NBA.

"“It was very nice, I totally understand that. But I’m a guy that says there is no one great player in the NBA. The NBA lasts a lot longer than one particular person so I understand what his point is. Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Bill Russell all those guys should have their jerseys retired too. I understand his gesture, but I’m in the same group as those guys so I wouldn’t want to see my jersey retired unless you retire those guys."

Lebron just lost my respect!

I am not going to take a shot at LeBron but I have to admit I am not the biggest Michael Jordan fan but he went up a few ticks in my mind with that.

Wasn't that another subtle shot at LeBron? Russell is #6, the number LeBron wants to wear after switching from #23 "out of respect" to Jordan. BTW, a very deserved shot at him.

LeKing Crab is just trying to get some brownie points from Jordan after he HAND PICKED Dwayne Wade to wear the Brand Jordan 25th anniversary shoes.

I always respected Jordan the player and while Jordan the man might be a bit of a prick, he's an adult and understands history, as he just said...

LeQueen, however, does not...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Like I said and like I mentioned the same names M.J brought up, there is just way too many other greats that have contributed to this game as much as MJ has.

And like I said, Le retire was soaking MJ nallgaz in his mouth was just that. KISSING ARSE and he got what he desrved for it. Oh and you better believe that he did lose respect from other players that he forgot to mention as well as looking like a idiot with the current players for kissing arse.

This little roach has game no doubt about that and he is amazing to watch with his brute power and his skills, but he needs to just STHU and stop being the ambassador of the arsehole club since he keeps digging his hole bigger and bigger with all these uneccessary comments and actions that is going to ruin his god givin talent.

And by the way, Jordan is not being excessively modest.

Russell, Magic, and Bird are in his class, whether or not you think Jordan was a little better or more accomplished than the other three.

Jerry West also deserves to be in their class on personal merit, but was not fortunate enough to accumulate the rings.
