Sam Mitchell said Celtics will destroy NBA top to bottom ...

Last night, I was watching NBA Gametime on NBATV and they showed C's vs Knicks highlights and Sam Mitchell was their special guest. He was asked what was wrong with the Celtics and he said, Boston is just warming up, no need to win EVERY GAME and teams that do win most games don't go far in the playoffs non the less win a championship. He also said Celtics will pick up, older guys will get their legs under them, and Celtics could really go on a rampage after ALL-STAR break.

Now, Sam Mithell is not the smartest man on the planet but he does make some sense. Why would we just play our hearts out this early in the season and put more wear and tear on our older guys ? To me, our team is just playing lazy, kind of a "chill" mode and I am positive they will put teams to shame soon very soon.

Doc Rivers said in Boston Globe that KG is not yet himself and could take a lot longer for KG to return to his dominant form ...even in April....

Now, WHY in the world do we have to prove something to the NBA or whoever. Do we have to beat Orlando this early in the season ? Do we have to beat Cavs and even Lakers this early in the season. I know everyone is thinking about the home court advantage but seriously, it's been 14 games, and I can't believe what kind of fans we have here. Suggesting a trade, blaming individual players, WE ARE TOO OLD....blah blah.... and who is this JoeTheBiscuit clown ???

Anyways, all of you C's fan that worry about the C's - chill, relax , sit back, and enjoy the game.

Celtics will raise banner #18 mark my freakin words.

I say, January/February will be when we show true faces of the Boston Celtics.

IT'S ONLY 14 GAMES!!!!!

I can't believe many people putting Atlanta over us hahahahaha!!!!

All these hot teams will never go far deep in the playoffs.

I can understand our team taking it easy against teams like Golden State and the Knicks, but why would we not try our hardest against Phoenix, Atlanta, or Orlando? Those were statement games, especially since we were at home on every single one of them.

I am personally waiting for KG to peak before I make my final judgement.

Weren't we wondering about the severity of his knee injury a week before training camp? Most guys take them year to recover from knee surgeries and that is the time that Doc is giving it.

Maybe we will destroy teams, maybe we will be #8 in the east, but until KG shows us what he can still do, no one knows how far the Cs will go in the playoffs.

Spurs, Lakers and Celtics will step it up a notch towards the end of the season and playoffs..they aren't going full throttle right now, because they have NOTHING to prove. They been there, won it, they are 'older' so they won't kill themselves out there to have a big record. We won't destroy people, but we will be damn hard to beat..that's for sure..

The only player I see improving over the course of the season is KG because of The Injury. He might just need to get his legs under him, whatever that means. As for Ray and Pierce, they're both playing well and probably will stay the same this year and drop slightly in production by next year. I hope they destroy, though.

The Spurs are hurt and they know there are no trophies handed out in DEC. They are not as bad as they look and the Suns aren't as good.

Two weeks ago people were talking about 72 wins and now they want to rebuild. Take your meds and calm the hell down.

Think of all the hand wringing last season about the best record and home court and it meant nothing. The 3 seed made out of the East and the Lakers would have won that series if all 7 were played in Disney World.

The only thing that matters right now is finding out what number 5 has left.

I really think it's nothing to worry about. We got 4 guys Ray, Sheed, K.G and House who have been having shooting problems, once those guy start knocking down shots again ( and it will happen ) The Celtics will start blowing people out again. In the 07-08 season there was a stretch were they lost 4 or 5 games in about two week but that year ended up being pretty good. It's too early to panic, act like men.

They look bad, and we look pretty bad too. If not for Pierce we could easily be under .500 with how some of our guys are playing right now. Still, I would try my best to avoid a team that has Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Richard Jefferson and Tim Duncan in the playoffs...as I would try my best to avoid a team that has Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Rasheed Wallace. These guys are HOF's and can step their game up when needed. I remember last year during the Bulls series, people were starting threads left and right about how Ray Allen was done..and he goes and gets a 50 pt game right after that. Like Sully said, there are no trophies handed out in december...veteran teams know that...
