ESPN's Tim Legler on crack??

He has the Suns as a 3-seed, which isn't quite as shocking as having the Thunder as the 8th seed and the Spurs out of the playoff picture altogether.

I do not see a problem here...

Currently SA is NOT in the Playoff picture, just barely breaking .500 and the Thunder are OVER .500 in the 8th seed, which would put them in the playoffs. Spurs have been playing like **** and the Thunder have been playing steady. So...

Yep. I don't see what the big deal is. I'd have to agree with what Legler had to say

I don't necessarily disagree. The title of this thread is mostly in jest. It's just shocking to me that people are discussing the Spurs as being out of the playoff picture, since they've been there for a solid decade now, and this was supposed to be the year they got back into contention.

Yeah I don't really disagree so much with his rankings but I am with you in that I think the Spurs make the playoffs no doubt.

If the Spurs do make the playoffs, and we get the 3 seed, well, I just hope they get the #6 seed

I think alot of people are overating the Spurs, Duncan can put up solid stats but can't dominate games like he once did and Gino is old and injury prone. I do see the Spurs falling out of the playoff picture and a team like the Thunder taking their playoff spot.

I certainly do not, not unless Duncan is out. There is no way in hell we can beat them, because they will use their vodoo magic once again, or probably sign Horry to break Nash's nose :nonono: :banghead:

Don't the Spurs usually have a mediocre record through the early part of the year and then come together in the later part of the season? I recall this for the last two-three years unless Alzheimer's is taking its toll.

No You are Correct. I recall them even being 3-6 at one point last year, but that could be my Alzheimer's kicking in as well.

Legler is not on crack. If anything Suns could even slide down to seed 4, 5, or 6. It is too early in the season to predict seeding right now. It's November!

Considering what expectations were before the season started (no playoffs or 8th seed) - you gotta be thankful that Suns are doing well so far and that somebody placed them in seed 3.

How is Legler on crack?

Stupid thread..

Ok two things:

1. I said the title of the thread was in jest.
2. I said the bigger surprised was that he had the Thunder as the 8th seed and the Spurs out of the playoffs entirely.

if the spurs didnt make the playoffs, and the suns get the three seed, and then go on to win the championship, and steve nash says something about the spurs and lakers sucking... that would legitimatly make my decade.

^ what he said.

And whether the title was in jest or not, it's still the title and will more than likely be what people launch their opinions off of.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the ranking. There's no way Thunder make playoffs and Spurs don't. I mean, the Spurs only had like 1/3 of their big 3 playing like half of their game's last year and 2/3 in their other half and still made playoffs. With the addition of Blair, Dice and RJ, they will make playoffs, even if it's in shoddy way.

I'm not so sure Utah will make playoffs this year, they just don't look very good so far. D.Will has been missing games because of family issues and they are dealing with some injuries, but I'm just not sure.

If the Rockets keep playing the way they do, which they should be able to since they are a fairly young team, they should make playoffs.

Record-wise we're better than the Nuggets right now, but I think they will definitely end up the 3rd or 2nd seed in the West. I just think they have a better team than us and once they get into gear, they should do some real damage. Melo is ballin'.

I had the Suns 8th or 7th during the offseason but that was before I saw the decline of Utah and Hornets. I think by season's end, we should be a good 4th-6th seed. I don't think we can hold a a top 3 record in the West and I'd prefer we fly under the radar all season long with hater's hating on our chances anyway.

If we do play the Spurs in the playoffs, we need to sign Horry just so he can hip check Ginobili into the scorers table. And then bust up Tony Parker's ugly-ass face.
