Predictions After 20 Games For EC Final Standings

Post#1 » by exculpatory » Sun Dec 6, 2009 7:18 am

Celtics best record because 1) Truth has been an All Pro and at least an All Star excepting a few games; 2) KG is steadily progressing - his O has been insane lately, his overwhelming D will gradually come back also; 3) RR has showed us brilliance in many games, and he will bring it just about all of the time as the season progresses; 4) Percules has been all that we can ask for on the D, and amazingly has shown us some low post moves that I never thought he would develop; 5) I refuse to believe Ray will not become Ray again for 1 more season; 6) Sheed will lose some weight, will mix up his post-up game with his 3s, and give solid interior D; 7) Quis will show us more than he has so far as the season progresses; 8) Baby will deepen our bench; 9) Eddie will give us spurts of insanely accurate shooting; and 10) Danny is going to make at least 1 and maybe 2 more moves - maybe Gomes, a vet point etc. Tragic and Cavs are clearly beatable.

I obviously am viewing this in the brightest light. And many of you may tear these premises apart. Go for it!
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Dude, learn to write in a readable fashion. Most people won't bother to sift through that eye sore.

Anyways, its too early. Any jumping ship, title predictions, stats and all that jazz needs to be left till after the all-star game.

"Dude". If you do not want to read a lengthy, cogent post, ignore it. If it is not readable for you, then ignore it or improve your reading skills. If you think it was premature, vote that way - that is why the option for that is there.

It's not about content, it's about formatting. You've created the dreaded "wall of text" that most posters do not like to read through because it's hard on the eyes. The "wall of text" issue is like trying to read a section of a textbook in a pdf file (not very fun). This is your post:

You have to admit that's pretty difficult to read through. All the points you made are sandwiched between a lot of text. Now look at the difference a modification of formatting can do:

Now it's in list form so readers can pick out the points you make much easier. This makes a world of difference to a reader. That's what Sonic was getting at. Maybe he was a bit strong, but his point is valid.

I acknowledge that your revised formatting is easier on the eyes - especially in this forum. Thanks, Al.

I start really looking at the teams after 40 games....so I picked too soon.
If I was forced to pick I would say 1st because of the addition of Davis and the timing of Wallace and Daniels.

I picked too soon. Another 15-20 games should give us a better understanding.

This team is 16-4, and will get better in another 2-4 weeks. The reason I feel we will be better is some points the OP already made. Here they are:

1. KG is just getting his conditioning back.
2. BBD should be playing in the next few weeks.
3. Sheed is also getting in shape. I love that they are asking him to play in the post more. Early on, it was crazy, about 60-70% of his shots were 3's.
4. Daniels should be more comfortable with the team. He has been struggling over the last 2-3 weeks and I feel its because of his injury.
