The Completely Absurd Trade Thread

Post#1 » by impulsenine » Mon Dec 7, 2009 7:30 pm

Post your abuses of the ESPN trade machine!

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=yfgc2um

Amare for Lebron straight-up
Tucker and JRich for Kobe
Griffin and Fropez for the other Lopez

Nash / Dragic
Kobe / Barbs
Lebron / Hill / Dudley
Amundson / Clark
Frye / Collins

In a week, when the trade restrictions are over (on the 15th), we'll get some pretty interesting trades as well; there's an obvious problem at the F and C positions here. But then would it really matter with Nash, Lebron, and Kobe on the same floor?

LET THE STUPID BEGIN!

lolz at Amundson/Frye frontcourt. I think you'd have to package Frye and Barbs for Al Jeff..salaries might not match (can't access trade machine from work), so maybe you'd have to go with a rookie scale contract and do Frye straight up for Blake Griffin. He's averaging 0pts and 0 rebounds so they don't need him anyway ;)

I admit freely that I just love Amundson, Barbs, and Dudley too much to trade them, even theoretically.

Yeah, yeah, I actually feel the same way. So leave out Barbs and swap the Griffin Brothers straight up..or you may have to throw in Frye to even up the salaries. Then this offseason see if Bosh will sign for vet min so that he can be with Nash/Kobe/LBJ/BGriff

+1 .... you can trade Stat for trash and savings, sell JRich off at pennies but don't go near Lou, Duds, Dragic, Nash. Barbs I would like to trade but I just couldn't be that cruel - he would be sobbing his hear to out

I have to agree. I'd feel sorry for where LB would end up. Most teams that need a 2 that can score suck, and he would end up playing for them. Not that Id be heart broken if he did get traded, I'd just feel for the guy. Well I guess sometimes you have to make sacrifices to appease the basketball gods... Although I don't think Father Stern would be appeased by it. Our team is still based in Phoenix and they are called the Suns. All viable reasons to hate us

I'm pretty sure that this:

Nash/Dragic
Wade/Hill
Lebron/Dudley
Frye/Lou/Clark
Dwight/Lopez

... that's always just going to be a dream, unless we're talking the '15/'16 season.

Yeah, after seeing Lou take that punch from Z-Bo, I've had man-love for Sweet Lou.

Well in my dreams, Mr. Burns buys the Suns and opens up the wallet to pour out millions and millions of tax luxury dollars and we sign everyone in the few coming free agent classes to longterm contracts.

Suns trade Jason Richardson to the Hawks for Josh Smith
Suns trade Alando Tucker to the Blazers for Rudy Fernandez

So now...
Nash/Dragic
Barbosa/Fernandez
Hill/Dudley/Clark
Smith/Amundson/Frye
Amare/Lopez/Collins
