Jerrid Bayless

He's asked to be traded from Portland, anyone interested in landing him? Could be our PG of the future, and we did draft him after all.

Never know, he hasn't really had a lot of PT, last player we got from Portland in a similar situation, turned out pretty well if I recall correctly.

I will continue to state this, we can't get any worse at the PG position than we already are.

TJ Ford is a pathetic excuse for a PG and anyone STILL defending him needs their brain checked.

Troy Murphy is the "big" Portland needs to replace Oden.

Murphy for Bayliss. Blazers throw in Aldridge and Roy to match salary.

I remember all too well Bayless's act on draft night...acted like everyone should feel privileged he was there, clearly annoyed he wasn't picked higher, alternately scowling and acting bored. He impressed me as an arrogant crybaby punk, a loser, and a potential big time cancer. I don't want the arrogant prima donna anywhere near our roster.

There's a reason he isn't getting playing time in Portland, and I'll bet the rent his attitude has a hell of a lot to do with it.

Not a lot to add...I think writerman and I have been saying the same thing all along. We can't get worse at PG talent-wise, but we can put ourselves in a worse position overall.

But more realistically, it's because they don't have the minutes to give him. Nate McMillan and Brandon Roy are both in love with Steve Blake. They are starting him over their big free agent acquisition Andre Miller, because Roy has stated that he likes playing with Blake more. The Blazers are loaded at the backcourt positions, and that's the main reason Bayless isn't getting PT. When he has been given time he's had a few very solid games.

The last 3 games that he's actually gotten minutes (other than the game he only got 3 min) he's scored in double figures.

I never said he wasn't talented. So was Jamaal Tinsley. But I do think there's a good chance he'd become a cancer.

I'm not saying he will or won't be a cancer, because I honestly don't know too much about his personality other than what we saw at the draft. I was just giving a rebuttal to the notion that his attitude is playing a large role in him not getting minutes in Portland.

I kinda wish we would've taken him instead of Rush. He was in the top 5 in mock drafts before the draft so he obviously has talent. Would've solved our point guard problem if he lived up to expectations

Lets just hope we get the 1st pick and draft John Wall! Im watching the IU game and they are talking about how much better he is than Derrick Rose

So, should we trade Rush for Bayless?

Jerryd Bayless has one of the hardest names to spell in the NBA. We like Danny Granger, Jeff Foster, Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Earl Watson. Dahntay Jones has an annoying name to spell, and Hansbrough is tough. TJ Ford is easy, AJ Price is easy, Diener is a bit challenging, and Brandon Rush is easy. Roy Hibbert is easy, Solomon Jones is easy if you remember it's all o's. Josh McRoberts is pretty easy.

If we are building our roster based on spelling, why not become the Indiana Hillbillies and build our roster around guys named William's' (aka Bill)

PG: Deron Williams
SG: Mo Williams
SF: Marvin Williams
PF: Sheldon Williams
C: Sean Williams

6th man: Jason Williams
Bench: Jawad, Louis, Marcus, and Terrance Williams

Maybe we can even get Roy Williams to be our coach!!
