GT: Pacers (9-15) @ Spurs (13-10)

Post#1 » by Nolan » Sat Dec 19, 2009 10:57 pm

Starting Lineups:

Pacers:
PG TJ Ford
SG Brandon Rush
SF Mike Dunleavy
PF Troy Murphy
C Roy Hibbert

Spurs:
PG Tony Parker
SG Keith Bogans
SF Richard Jefferson
PF Tim Duncan
C Antonio McDyess

We've won 4 out of our last 5 and it looks like we're starting to turn things around. The Pacers have gone 3-3 since losing Danny Granger to a torn right plantar fascia.

Also tonight tonight Pops get his first shot at 700 career wins.

Injuries:
Duncan is listed as day-day with but he's expected to play. Granger is out for the Pacers.

Go Spurs!!

Didn't get to see this one but another close game at home. Looked like TD did his usual and carried the team.

Close game, shouldn't of been that close but we won. Tim my D was excellent and Pops got his 700th career win.

Late post

My thoughts on Dyess, Bonner, and Blair haven't changed one bit..They're the reason why we're an up and down defensive team..Duncan can't carry this rag tag group for so long..We need more help..Dyess is clueless out there..He has little to no defensive IQ..Too many times he rotates back late and lets his man get the open shot a mile away..Bonner and Blair simply can't play defense even if they tried..I'm sorry but that's how it is when you're slow as hell and a swingman masquerading as a big ITO height alone..Also something has to be said of Hill being on the court at the same time as Parker because then he becomes relegated to a spot up shooter which is not his game..He is an ok outside shooter, but he is at his best when trying to emulate Parker carving up the interior..In addition, this leaves us at a disadvantage on the defensive end pitting either Hill or Parker up against four inches his superior..Mason desperately needs to find his shot as that's his job and when he can't do that there isn't much he can offer..
