i feel like RR put up good stats but wasn't very efficient. i voted for tony allen. played well subbing in the starting rotation for an injured pierce. been a while since he started, right? he used to be one of our starters

1. Rondo
2. TA
3. Ray
4. Perk
5. Sheed
6. KG

Rondo carried us at times during the game. His rebounding and second chance opportunities at clutch times were incredible. His quickness getting the ball on the glass to avoid a block was very impressive. TA was huge today too, even though he missed a few shots by a mile. He was aggressive and under control. Ray was clutch again. Perk D'd up Howard like he always does, despite being the refs ***** like always. KG looked a bit out of rhythm offensively. I really hope he's ok.

Definitely Rajon. He played his ass off and his stat line was amazing. Well, except for the turnovers, but he compensated with hustle and igniting the offense.
All in all great win for Boston, a true Christmas present for the fans :)

Rondo..even though **** could have gotten ugly if Ray doesn't step up in the end with a couple of huge plays, but Rondo was terrific all day long. Shout outs to Tony Allen..dude has been awesome..he has been better than Daniels IMO.

Big win without PP!

We have the best defender on Howard in the league with Perk, so we can really limit their game. And Sheed is also a fantastic defender...we match up great with them, so I am really confident when we play them. The only problem today was Carter but PP and Daniels can take care of him! Their bench also doesn`t have the impact against us because they are all jump shooters and with one on one defense on Howard we can run them off the 3 point line...

Props to all the player today, everybody fought hard!

I am going with Rajon because he was really active today! Despite the turnovers and missed free throws he carried us...

Rondo kept us in it early on in the game and brought intensity throughout. Very aggressive game from him. He gets my vote.

yeah shout out to perkins tonight. completely stuffed dwight howard. superman finished with 1 field goal and 7 turnovers. Perk had 3 blocks and a +19 +/- by far best out of anyone.

Yeah I forgot Perk. He was phenomenal, as usual. Love seeing him and Dwight go at it...

GG. You guys wouldn't let us come close, making shot after shot. You guys are, indeed, the #1 team in the NBA; imo.

For me it is RR vs. TA vs. Percules.

I pick TA - he just elevated his game, and played very very well overall. That was critical given the absence of the Truth.
RR had a fantastic stat line and definitely was excellent overall - but he missed 6 FTs, 6 bunnies (which he rebounded), and had way too many TOs.
Perk could have won the cigar outright, if the frigging refs had not taken him out of the game. He was defending like a beast, scoring some, and rebounding. He is a very underrated center in this league, and I love that we have him!!!!

KG was way less than mediocre on O and very tentative on O. His D was above average.
RA was HORRIBLE as a shooter and trying to be a playmaker (he should NEVER touch the ball during crunch time except when he spots up for the dagger) - until a clutch shot at the end.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

'Sheed deserves a ton of credit, too. He actually was probably matched up with Dwight a little more than Perk was due to Perk getting 2 (BS) fouls 1 minute into the game. Dwight went scoreless against Rasheed the rest of the quarter while Rasheed scored 7 in the 1st quarter. I can only imagine what would've happened if we didn't have Rasheed to backup Perk and had to go with a guy like Shelden on him for an extended period of time. Shelden was covering him for about 2 possessions, one was a Howard jam and the other was a missed Howard jam.

What a weapon to have a legit 7 footer who is as intelligent of a defender as 'Sheed is coming off the bench, particularly against Orlando.

Great win- I really thought we were going to lose this one without Pierce.

Rondo was bad in the first quarter, but after that, he was the energy that drove the team.
Victory cigar clearly goes to him, with an honorable mention to Perk for his great defense.

I don't think there's anyone in the league who is a more clutch shooter than Ray Allen.

Garnett didn't seem to be moving well out there at all. Hope he's alright.

Perk.

The Magic's game is built around teams doubling Howard and then it raining 3s.

We don't have to double nearly as much cus we have the angriest man in the L going toe to toe with the Magic's key player.

The other guys (RR, TA) played a great game, but we won on D and that all starts with Perk.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS. MERRY CHRISTMAS !!

You often talk about underrating Paul Pierce.

Well, this is Rajon Rondo's team NOW. It's just a few of us have realized it.

Paul is still the closer, and one of the greatest players of ALL TIME, but

Rajon pretty much has been running the Celtics, on the floor, offensively, for quite a while.

Tony had a good game, and the Celtics would not have won without him.

But Tony is more hit or miss. Rajon is super human.

13 rebounds. 8 assists. 17 points, too. 2 steals, Plus wrecked innumerable havoc.

Too damn bad that Iverson fella is gonna waste an All-Star spot for the second year in a row
when those behind the times voters in mainland China put A.I. on the starting five.

I usually don't contribute in other teams forums but Rondo was awesome. So impressed with his work ethic and will to win. So I voted in this poll and hope it wasn't Celtics fans only.

Well played.

1. Frontcourt

Id give all the bigs a meal of their choice with a drink of their choice if I was head coach. They deserve to eat after this one. Perk and Sheed, first and foremost, get the most valuable awards for me... We held the Magic to 27 points at half time...that doesn't come from stopping the perimeter shooters, that comes from disjointing the Magic offense, which is inside out. Perk and Sheed exposed Dwight today and played with the intimidating force of emotions that they both have. That was our demeanor the whole game and is what kept us on top.

2. Ray Allen

Came up huge in the 4 quarter. Huge shots in the clutch, played some decent D and made Vince earn his points (which he did, Vince played very well), plus he even threw a pretty nice dunk down on the move and on two Magic defenders which I really think took the Magic by surprise and quieted them down for a while. Underrated play of the game.

3. Rondo

Cant knock the hustle. Played with a big aura of feisty explosion and turned the defensive front court energy into offense. Needs to hit those FT's though, coulda helped ice the game a little earlier.

I go Perk.

The only stats that mattered here were Orlando shooting 33% and Howard having more TOs than points.

Not all of that was Perkins, of course, but he was the catalyst for this bruising, defensive win.

Rondo's TOs were pretty bad, and TA did not contain Vince... so gotta be Perk for me.
