Rondo 46.6 minutes, Ray 43.5 minutes - Get Decent Backups

Post#1 » by Jammer » Sat Dec 26, 2009 12:55 am

Rondo played 46.6 minutes today.

Before this team plays Rajon Rondo into the ground,
it's time to get a real backup PG.

Not Lester, who can be jettisoned any time, his value as a practice partner
would be replaced by the REAL backup PG.

Ray played 43.5 minutes. Time to do something.

yeah, cuz not like pierce and daniels were out with injuries and won't be back ever again or anything, and not like magic play big so eddie/rondo combo works and all, and not like refs were foul happy on tony early.

it's the magic, against a worse team, they'd play less. this game was important.

if they average 44mpg or something for season, ok then, they are not. they are 35 and 34 for the season. sounds about right to me. look at teams like the cavs and lakers and heat, there stars all 37-38 even though they have many blow outs.

As Darth said, what did you expect? We are without Pierce and his and Ray's backup in Daniels and we still plugged Tony Allen into the starting lineup against an elite team and beat them on their homecourt. If that's not impressive depth, I don't know what is. No one good is coming here or anywhere else to be a 12th, 13th, 14th or 15th man.

You need to get some more realistic expectations of what an NBA bench is. We have one about as good and deep as you are going to find.

:noway:

If this isn't making something out of nothing, the concept doesn't exist. Minute distribution for this team, to date, has been as close to perfect as it gets in the NBA.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who read this topic title and laughed.

Daniles and Pierce were out today. Both last season were starting players in this league. And yet our 4th wing player Tony Allen looked like he could be a very good bench player. With Baby returning and Sheed stepping it up when it maters our depth is an embarrassment of riches!

I would rather Ray Ray and Rajon play less minutes.....at the cost of wins.....this game is about player health...not wins!!!

Sarcasm!

Do what it takes to get enuff W's for
1. make the playoffs
2. Win in the playoffs
3. get home court advantage
4. win it all
BANG!................. Marjong!

We are a deep team. We are 10-11 deep. We are deeper tham two years ago when we won the title.
