I know, hind-sight is 20/20; and really, the rookie class hasn't sorted itself out yet. Terrence Williams could still be one of the top 5 players in his draft class once it's all said and done IMO, but I wonder if another player would have been a better fit for our needs.
IF we had the chance to take anyone on-the-board with the 11th pick in the 2009 NBA draft, would you take someone else? If so, why?

Re: POLL: 2010 Draft Re-Do
I'd go for Casspi.
I remember hearing about our FO trying to trade down into the late teens or early twenties, in order to pick him up plus a 2nd or something. But looking at his level of play thus far, I would have been happy with him at #11 if we couldn't find a trade-down partner.
Omri's efficiency is scintillating, and we could have REALLY used a long, skilled perimeter player with a dead-eye from behind the arc. Also, I've heard his demeanor is very intense and he's passionate about winning, which is a quality that we sorely lack. It reminded me of CDR, and I think those two would have been quite an imposing young SG-SF tandem. After all, Roberts is doing a yeoman's job at SF for us, but his proper position is SG. Lee would have become a great 6th man (his skill set is more suited to that for our team), and a 6'3-6'7-6'9-7'-7' lineup is very intriguing. The Kings really got a steal...
Oh well, enough rabbit-hunting (that's what we Midwesterners call this) for me this morning, what about you?

Casspi. I said it the night of the draft. I think he would have been a draw for attendance, too.

At this point in time I think the consensus will be Casspi. He's been very impressive this year... I haven't given up on T-Will but I seriously think my jump shot is better than his (and I haven't touched a basketball in about a month).

Is it his shot is off or is it everyone's shot is off? I think the offense lacks ball movement, movement without the ball, and basic plays.
Twill scouting report always had him as lacking an outside shot. The issue with him is that he settles for jumpers especially when he gets the ball in a position where he is pressured.

Bingo!
This team has no offensive gameplan at all. All the plays are basically ISO's. Harris drives misses and looks for the foul. They give lopez the ball 20 feet away from the basket and he has to maneuveur more often than not. Both Yi and CDR get the ball, they dribble and either attack the rim or settles for the 15 footer. Courtney Lee gets the ball and settles for the mid range shot. It's ALWAYS like this. Rarely do you see the wing players cut and get the ball near the basket. They have no idea when to pass it to Brook and more often than not settle for a lazy jumper that misses badly. There's a reason we're dead last in Assists per game.

I think T Will has Iggy potential, but I can't stand the guy after he made those Twitter comments...

I think T-Will will be fine, but I just like Omri Casspi better.

yeah a raw Iggy...he's just a little lost...needs to get back to the basics instead of doing too much...there is so much of this game that is mental, and you can see it in his limited minutes he's either trying to hard or hesitating...not too mention he doesnt realize he may have to adapt to the NBA's style of play versus what he was doing in college...
some nights he drives me crazy...whether its an off shot or his skip dribble...I think we all believe he's better than that...he just hasnt shown it...I too have a bad taste in my mouth after his twitter comments...
Most of you guys thought TWill would be a lot better than I though as far as immediate impact...I just wasnt that excited...
