Sunday Game 2: Pack at Cards

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Jan 10, 2010 5:20 pm

I have a feeling someone on the defense not named Clay or Charles will be the hero today.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Did you have someone in mind or you just think someone else is going to have to step it up? Just trying to get a feeling where you are going with this.

Go Packers!

Hopefully this team can consistently pressure Warner and force some turnovers.

Clay is the key for us. He needs to get consistent pressure to disrupt the Warner/Fitz hookup.

We'll likely play a lot of nickel which means we'll need to get push from the two DTs that play in that set. It will be Jenks and either Jolly or Raji. Those guys will also be key. It would be nice to see Raji have some plays where he just pushes his guy straight backwards.

Gotta get pressure early. Cloud Fitzgerald and make sure Breaston doesn't beat us in the middle of the field or on special teams. I think Beanie Wells or Hightower will cough one up and we gotta make sure they don't get any lanes and keep them a one dimensional passing team. I'm thinking Nick Collins earns his new contract tonight too. GO PACK.

I'm also excited to see Pickett play, he should be 100% healthy and well rested.

This will be fun, but let's not kid ourselves. The real game starts at 8:30.

When Warner is pressured, he looks to dump over the middle on crossing routes. It would be nice if Bigby or one of the linebackers could read that early and really take someone's head off to set the tone and have that in the heads of Arizona receivers all game.

I'm really nervous, which means I think we are the better team and a loss would be a letdown.

I think they will gameplan against Clay and Fitzgerald/Woodson will be a wash. We need Barnett or Hawk or Williams to make a big play. And Bush to not get torched more than once. Maybe Chillar comes through or Jones. We do have a lot of weapons on defense.

The ILB blitz with Barnett and Chillar could be effective since it's quick and Warner will have less time to react.

Warner's experience is big. I just don't want Rodgers to do a Carson Palmer today.

Well I'm off to the Spokane Packer Bar to make sure I have a table. I love how every major city in this country has a Packer bar.
