You’re always saying you’re looking to add future pieces that fit this organization. Do you foresee a couple of moves being made?
“Well, you know we’re always looking for ways to improve. I know you guys have heard me say that countless times and I know you’re tired of that. But I can’t say it differently. We’re always trying to improve, just like our players on the court. But we’re trying to be intelligent about how we do that and sometimes our best decisions are the decisions we don’t make, and sometimes things work out, sometimes they don’t. We’re just trying to shift the odds with good preparation and good thought. I can’t anticipate what we’re going to do. I think certainly by acquiring Eric when we did we felt that was a decision that helped us both in the immediate and in the long term. We feel good about that acquisition and we still have an opportunity as the season rolls along to look at other things, but I can’t predict the future other than to say that we have a responsibility to improve the team.”

What are some areas you’d like to see the team improve in?
“Again, going back to the fact that we want to control things that we can control, and I think Scott and his staff have done a good job of identifying those. Defensively we have improved. We want to continue to build on that growth and continue to build on consistency on that end of the floor. That’s going to be something that we want to see. Offensively, I think we’re still evolving in that respect. Scott talks about that often. I think you’ll see some continued growth there as guys get more comfortable and more minutes start to accumulate. And then, continue to be a team that brings more energy and great effort on a daily basis, and I say that not just to the arena floor but to the practice facility. Preparation is another thing. You want to continue to see growth in that with a young team. We’ll be looking for those things and I think that we’ve identified those as things we need to do in order to take a step as a team this season. And we feel like we have made some progress in those areas but we have to maintain that progress and continue to take a step together and if we do that, I think we’ll have had a successful year.”

Sam Presti is maddeningly vague. I don't think I've ever learned anything from him speaking, ever.
