any news on him? Does he figure in the overall plan to get back to contender status? If he's got a future in Indy, how soon might we see him at Conseco?

I think he doesn't have a buyout in the summer of 2011, as well as Stanko. Looks like those two will probably replace Foster and Murphy on the roster, respectively.

However, Lorbek has apparently turned into a pretty decent Euro-League player, meaning it may be much harder/more expensive to get him to come over here.

We'll just have to see, and we probably won't know for sure until the guys actually fly over for the physical.

Erazem Lorbek is now playing in Regal FC Barcelona. Two of his well-known teammates are Ricky Rubio and former NBA player, J.C. Navarro.

Check out the vedio on youtube.com, Lorbek is in jerswey #25.

He runs the floor very well. Can shoot the 3. Still need to get stronger.

I hope that Bird can do the trade to get Rubio so both Lorbek and Rubio could join the Pacers in summer 2011.

I know he had one or two really good defensive games against some NBA talent, but how is his defense usually?

From what we've heard? He's apparently gotten.....serviceable? Not completely worthless might be a better description. Troy Murphy-ish is about right. He's a big body. That's about it.

His defense at Michigan State was pretty awful if I recall. He was bigger than everybody else, but wasn't a defensive force by any means.

From what I've read, his main downfall is that he just doesn't have NBA caliber athleticism.
