A few GS Warriors trades...(CLE, SAN, & UTH)

The Warriors are my second favorite team, right behind the Wolves. I grew up in MN, live in Cali, and will be moving to S.F. soon. (Guys always end up moving to where their girl is from.)

I'm just throwing some trade ideas out there for conversation. The Warriors have absolutly no chance of doing anything that remotely resembles any sort of logic until Nelson is gone. They are in a similiar situation to where MN was before Kahn was hired and McHale cleared out. At this point the Dubs have no idea what they are doing as a franchise besides catering to every one of Nellie's Alzheimer/Dementia-induced whims.

These are the ideas I came up while messing around with the trade-checker today, along with my reasoning. Feel free to agree/disagree.

GS and CLE:
#1
Radmanovic and Bell for
Big Z and CLE's 1st

GS clears Rad's salary next year and add a 1st. CLE gets two playoff experienced veterans who can stretch the floor for Lebron. Both would be able to play very respectable D in CLE's system. Big Z would be bought out and return to CLE.

GS and SAN:
#1
Radmanovic and Bell for
Mason, Bonner, and Finley

GS gets out of Rad's deal next year. This has nearly the exact same reasoning as the above CLE deal for SAN, just insert Parker and Ginobili's names for Lebron.

#2
Maggette, Radmanovic, and Bell for
Ginobili, Mason, Bonner, and Finely

GS clears a ton of future salary. SAN takes a bigger risk to make a Finals push this year.

#3
Maggette, Bell, and George for
Jefferson and Mason

GS shortens the salary committment by 2 years. SAN gets a cheaper per year and more productive SF. If Bell is healthy for the playoffs, he is better than Mason.

GS and UTH:
#1
Maggette and Bell for
Kirilenko

GS shortens its salary commitment buy two years and gets a combo forward who fits well in their system. UTH saves alot of money next year and adds nice players for this years playoff run.

#2
Maggette, Radmanovic, and Bell for
Kirilenko, Korver, and Miles

GS saves more money next year and beyond. UTH gets closer to being under the lux this year and gets even more help for this years playoff run.

So...

I don’t know Utah’s priorities, but I’d be shocked if the fans of Cleveland and San Antonio weren’t virulently opposed to all 3 of the trades listed here.

As a Warrior fan, I'd probably do every one except for the last one. You've obviously done your homework on Golden State. As for the rest, . . . . don't really know.

Nobody is giving you a first round pick for VladRa he's the white Brian Cook on a contract that's 4x as bad.

As a Jazz fan I have no interest in the Maggette/AK swap in the GSW-UTA trade #1, but at least there is some logic to it. No chance on #2.

The other ones are all atrocious for the other team. You seem to be under the belief that Radmanovic is a positive value asset...he is not. And although there are others who might disagree with me, I put Bell's value at minimal. I'm not keen on trading any value at all for guys who are currently out with a long-term injury; too much risk.

Maggette and Bell for Kirilenko is the only legitimate offer out of all of those but Utah probably still wouldn't do it since Maggette has so many years left.

I think the phone conversation would last about 30 seconds with the rest of the offers.

This deal makes absolutely no sense for the Cavaliers.

They laugh because we made them a trade offer as bad as the last 20 they made us. I'd have to laugh too.

Kirilenko had a good week, but sucked for 3 years and cost's $17 mill next year. Ginobli has become old and often injured. Richard Jefferson is playing below Maggette's level, costs more.

Radman is a negative and Bell won't be there till late. I think SA likes Mason. Maggette is NOT a negative...however,GSW will be cautious about deals with SA as SA has been a power in the West..but is getting old.

Frankly...If I deal with SA,Blair is the only thing they have I'd want. In the unlikely case they offer Finley or another expiring for Vlad...sure. Maggette's career has a lot of PLUS momentum. Ginobli seems injury prone and declining. If they want Mags...I get Blair. Ginobli can be the salary match and maybe we get a solid 10-15 min from him. Spurs get a booster to replace what Ginobli was.
I doubt the Spurs do it, but they'd be tempted.

 It actually wasn't as bad as their 20 rem. And the previous 15 before that. You were being too kind.

Ehh, this one is so bad that it takes all 35 offers we made and buries them in a sea of forgotten bad offers.

All these trades are laughably bad for opposing teams. The only one close is the Spurs deal.

Well....if that was all it was. Pick #30 is barely a rd 1. Clev gets Bell,a plus for the playoffs. GSW pays a chunk of Z's money and sends him back. Cavs...as "win now" as it gets, recieves 2 veterans for the playoffs. The pick....won't help NOW. Next year,Vlad is a usable,streaky,6-10 guy. If his J is back, he's okay. He will be expiring. If Bell or Vlad helps,in a small way,the Cavs win a title and or keep LeBron, the deal is a big win. For most teams, no question, not a good deal. I thought so too...but on second thought....it's a decent idea,if the Cavs have,or can make, the roster spots.

You really need to check out some of Heath's gems. This has the Cavs get Bell for the late season+ playoffs at the cost of pick 29-30. GSW pays more to Z than the pick is worth.

Heath wanted productive starters for roster ballast...and even tried sticking us with Wally Szerbiak.
We've seen some AWFUL trade ideas but but the Cavs were in a whole special class.

Heaths trades are flat out comical. I loved the whole "We give Wally and Z, and you buy out Z and send him back to us and give us productive players as well." ideas he was spewing out.

Hysterical.

Get bell for what? I'd play Parker, Moon, and Delonte West over Raja Bell's corpse and Radmonovich is a waste of a roster spot with two years left on his contract.

1 and 2 maybe...

3 no...

The reasoning is that we could use an established perimeter defender in Bell and Maggette would significantly boost our SF depth..I wouldn't touch deal number 3 for the sole fact that we have to give up Jefferson to do so...which means that Maggette would be starting.

You'd rather RJ over Maggette? Really?
