CLE-CHI-PHX

This is more of just a running idea that's been in my head the past few days. I'm honestly not sure how much Chicago and Phoenix value all of their players but I think this is pretty solid

CLE out:
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
J.J. Hickson
Wally Z (S&T)
2010 1st

CLE in:
Amare Stoudemire

CHI out:
Tyrus Thomas
Kirk Hinrich

CHI in:
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
2010 first (CLE)

PHX out:
Amare Stoudemire

PHX in:
Tyrus Thomas
J.J. Hickson
Kirk Hinrich
Wally Z

Why For Cleveland:
Amare. That's pretty much the only reason. We're not getting Amare without trading JJ.

Why For Chicago:
Assuming the buy out Z and return him this is just a salary move. They get out of Kirk's contract and get a first rounder to boot. This is all dependent on how much Chicago wants Tyrus gone. This doesn't get a lot of value for him but they will have money to make a run at D-Wade in 2011.

Why For Phoenix:
They get what I've heard they want. Money and talent. In Phoenix's system both JJ and Tyrus would thrive seeing that they're both athletic forwards. Wally's contract will save them some money. The one hold up I can see it Kirk. Yes he doesn't have a wonderful contract but Nash isn't getting any younger. Kirk will be able to replace Nash when he retires allowing Dragic to continue coming off the bench and this move could give them one of the best PG rotations in a few years.

So thoughts?

no from the suns

JJ Hickson is not enough talent wise to make me not wanna just ride out the season with amare and see how far we go

and I don't want any part of Kirks contract and maybe im a homer but I think an argument can be made that Dragic will be better than Hinrich anyways

There was something missing in your proposal, I fixed it for you. And of course the Bulls will buy out Z. They probably can go after Wade and Bosh with this move (assuming they will find a taker for Salmons).

Not sure the Bulls would buy out Z. They’re hurting for competent big men at this point.

Probably very do-able for the Bulls.

Swap Hickson out for Powe and the Cavaliers do it. Of course if the Suns were willing to do that the trade would likely already be made.

Amare is a tough trade for Cleveland because he's a lot less valuable in their system than he is other places, including Pheonix.

Well sure, many teams would give up absolutely nothing in return for good players.

Don't like it for Cleveland or Phoenix.

Suns don't want trash. No.
