What is wrong with Okur?

Post#1 » by BadabimBadabum » Thu Feb 11, 2010 11:10 pm

Okur is one of the my favorite players. I can't understand why his performance going down. I am understanding from his face, he lost excitement for playing basketball. He got a contract extension, he is getting older and experienced. but still he can't give solid performances as before. There is World Championship coming for him and he isn't giving any hope for this. Seriously, what's wrong with him?

Good Thing : Hedo Turkoglu is back in Magic.
Bad Thing : He plays terribly.

I believe it has to do with the political unrest in his country. With the oncomming dry season, their has been no moisture. The potatoe and yam havest was ruined. Many in Turkey are starving. And now the cranberries are starting to feeze. So I believe Okur has little to be thankfull for. Hence the poor inconsistent play.

If I recall, his wife is pregnant. Last time he had a bad patch like this . . . his wife was pregnant. Sometimes home life interferes with work life. I betting that is happening here. I'm just hoping the kid is born before the playoffs.

Actually his slump came after the baby was born, prior to that he was a "all-star"...not really.

Okur is getting older and slower!!! I cant believe the Jazz signed him to an extension!!! He is worthless if he cant hit his shot which has not hit all season. If he didnt play at all and just sat on the bench, the Jazz would improve.

Teams are starting to realize what Memo does good and they are cutting that ability off. Like it has been said, Memo is one dementional and teams are taking that away.

Even more important, BadabimBadabum, please tell me you did not vote AI into the All Star game. If you did, this thread should be locked for that reason and that reason alone. I sure hope it doesnt get locked because Toledo is wishing death on people again.

Okur usualy only shows up for 1/2 of the season, I think it will be the same this year.

Of course I voted for AI since he is idol player for me. I gave him my vote. and as far as i can see i'm not the only one doing that. For me Allstar is a chance of seeing my favorite players. So, everytime i vote for AI, Shaq(he is fun), Memo, Hedo etc. whatever their performances. because as you know 10 spots of Allstar is decided according to VOTERS. This is what i want as a voter and it is nothing to do with you :D. and don't change the subject. Memo is important for this team but he gotta make himself better.

I think his confidence is shot, for whatever reason. I've seen him pass up dozens of shots lately that he normally takes without blinking.

I don't think he's having fun for one reason or another. He looks like I do when its time to go to work.
