Team Unity Destroyed?

Post#1 » by Zubby » Sun Feb 21, 2010 4:33 am

You guys think the older Rockets maybe are a little bitter about the trading of Landry/ lack of loyalty management had for him.
I mean he was obliviously loved by both players and fans and seen as a rising star.

Maybe they took it out on Martin and didn't make him feel welcome, as one King fan mentioned Kevin Martin is a mental midget.

Maybe Hayes and Scola roughed Martin up a lil bit... but seriously, he looked like McGrady in his final days in a Magic uni. walking around, not boxing out, look disinterested.

This trade is more disappointing than the Gay one.. damn you Adelman!

AND get off Morey's dick please!

Now you can check my history, I'm no fanboy but McGrady deserved better than this, all players his level throw fits Kobe did it, Peirce did it, Lebron does it.
Hell we should of just let his contract expire...

I WANT LANDRY!

Just one game. Give him another week before you crucify Martin.

I'm watching the Kings game right now. Poor Landry is getting spaced out by his teammates. They don't give him the ball. He looks very bad playing for the Kings right now.

This inst The Chocolate Factory where all our dreams come true and the only bad thing that happens is being turned into a delicious blueberry.. It's a business everyone understands that..They loved Carl they will get over it.. Implying that our team is vindictive and heartless enough to make someone who had nothing to do with the mechanics of the trade feel unwelcome is ridiculous..

We are a team of men.. Not jackasses or children..

I have heard this happens many times in ALL pro sports, athletes can be childish I guess.

But I was thinking more of unintentional, face it HOU team look like they wanted to be anywhere else beside on that court.
They came out strong cause but still seem different, and as soon as we started make rotational changes it was obvious.

As a fan I would hope my team management wouldn't have that attitude. We have nothing while all those players I mentioned their teams did what they had to, to appease said players....

and well They are the best teams in the league, 2 of the 3 have rings.

McGrady kick ur dog?

Jeffries sucks and was considered one of the worst starters in the league.

Martin however, can't play well with a scoring pg, which is why he sucked with Tyreke at the point. I hope that he starts shooting well when Lowry comes back because that's the type of pg he needs to be effective.

I doubt he gets much PT. More than Cook, but I think he's the replacement bench warmer.

lol @ people complaining about Jeffries not playing.

Jeffries and Hill combined into one player in their primes would probably equal Anderson Varejao today.

Funny thing... all 3 teams involved in the trades, Rockets, Kings, Knicks all lost today.

as a Knicks fan, trust me, you don't want Jeffries getting much burn.

he frustrated us all season long with his ill-advised 3's, blown layups and overall bonehead play. while he has his moments on defense, his defense is severely overrated. I am sure you guys can develop and get something out of Jordan Hill, which our coaching staff didn't see any plans for him in our future apparently. everyone knew in the draft this year we had two guys that we wanted, ricky rubio and stephen curry. we were unable to trade up for rubio/curry and had to take Hill (best player available) strategy. lots of GMs were high on Jordan Hill apparently.

anyway good luck in the rest of the season Rockets fans

If Scola was worried about team unity, he should look at the guys that left in the 3-4 seasons before him. None of the current rockets are old Rocket's players. The only guy still around from 7 years ago, is Yao Ming. Players move all the time before their contract ends, even T-mac came here though a trade for Francis, Mobley and Cato.

Look at all the players that get moved around.

http://www.nba.com/news/transactions/2009_10/

Here are the old rockets from 7 years ago, as you can see only Yao Ming survived long enough for a contract extension.

Players traded or waived:
Steve Francis
Cuttino Mobley
Kelvin Cato
Eddie Griffin
Adrian Griffin
Eric Piatkowski
Mike Wilks
Tyronn Lue
Jim Jackson
Boki Nachbar
Luther Head
Ryan Bowen
Mike James
Juwan Howard
Moochie Norris
Rafer Alston
John Lucas Jr
Spanoulis
Jackie Butler
