There were some whispers about him being uncoachable, but this quote of him owning up to last year's mental struggle really encourages me that he has a bright future and is definitely willing to be coached from here on out.

If this team is looking to be young and sucessful, well news break he will be a huge part of it.

The offence came from Hill and Adams with the missing x factor Vernon. Now if we are to put up runs because we are sure as hell going to need to with out having Doc on the mound his big bat has to take full stride. His productivity will be a huge factor in a lot of wins and losses.

We know the numbers the other guys can put up now we need to add him to the mix and he is easily a runner producer only difference is Hill wasn't as expected to be as much as he will be.

He has been the picture of maturity for his whole life basically. I love his attitude about taking the blame for last year's struggles and run-ins with Cito, which I blame Cito for anyway. I have a bad feeling the Manager is going to jerk him around again.

Are you familiar with Clarence Cito Gaston? He's a baseball manager who somehow manages to screw up straightforward baseball decisions. That's very hard to do in a sport where a monkey with a flowchart could probably manage just as well as the 30 humans. Last year Clarence played Kevin Millar and Vernon Wells at cleanup, two of the worst hitters in the league last year. Vernon specifically was one of the five worst and he got 333 ABs at cleanup and 102 batting 3rd. He played Millar at 3B, where he hadn't played since 2002. Not to mention he was hated by at least half his team by the end of the year. Even Jerry Howarth and Alan Ashby couldn't hide their lack of surprise.

Managers can only do so much to place them in an order but the players if they can't hit, if they can't run and if they just can't play then he can only do so much before he goes out there trying to play for them. Yes, he should of taken Vdubs out of the 4th spot which he will probably not be in, Wells probably be the most over paid hitter in the 5th spot.

^^ Probably looks like the order from 3-6 if wells has a good spring then maybe 2-4 but I see Hill staying top 3 in the line up. They could also maybe work Lindd to hit after wells to force teams to pitch to Wells? Snider will be breaking camp with the team.
