"The Thundertaker"

Post#1 » by TheOGJabroni » Fri Mar 5, 2010 10:08 pm

I feel like the topic of Kevin Durant's nickname has been discussed on here before, so sorry for the new thread but I am way too lazy to search through more than the first page :D

Back on topic, what do you guys think of "The Thundertaker"? Seems a bit corny to me, but I feel like any nickname given that isn't just thought of naturally will be. I think it's better than "Durantula" at least.

The Thundertaker isn't bad but Durantula is awesome. Part his last name, part spider, all monster baby!

I think the Thundertaker is a pretty creative (haven't heard of it before) nickname. I'm just not sure it makes me think of Durant. Maybe if we ever got a real bruiser of a center, that would be more that style. Don't know... just makes me think of more beating people up all game long, and that's something Durant definitely doesn't do much of. I really like the name in general though!

Durant's game is more finess then power, so Thundertaker doesn't sound like him. Maybe Westbrook, but will probably have to wait for it's owner. Maybe Ibaka...

I saw the title of the thread and thought it might have to do with proposed mascot. It would be a cool name for a a mascot.
