The All Revenge Play-Off Bracket

Post#1 » by Mamba Venom » Mon Mar 22, 2010 10:01 am

This isnt too improabable so check it out:

1st round
Lakers1 vs Spurs8 (currently 1/2 game up on the Blazers in 7th)
Revenge for the 2003 title that would have been ours!

2nd round
Lakers1 vs Suns 5
Revenge for 2006 and 2007

Conference Finals
Lakers1 vs Nugs3
Revenge for talking more ish than the other 28 teams in the league combined

Finals
Lakers home vs Celtics road
Revenge for 2008

This would be my dream scenario. In all likely hood the Jazz will beat the Suns in the first round, the Cavs or Magic will be in the Finals and Portland will be the 8th seed because SA wants no part of the Lakers! But we can hope cant we!!!
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

1. Spurs are our whipping boys already, I see absolutely no revenge possible for anyone but them.
2. This works, but still its not anywhere near the same team that beat us. Would like to play them though.
3. Again, a team we've beaten twice in a row in the PO's, no chance for revenge for anyone but them.
4. Would be nice.

Celtics are done. We don't have to punish them anymore they are falling off themselves. If we face the have we kill 2 birds with one stone. Kobe vs Lebron and Kobe finally gets back at Shaq on the biggest stage in the NBA.

Lakers vs Orlando would be interesting because it is a finals rematch of last year and things have got pretty heated ever since. Lamar Odom and Matt Barnes have got into it. Kobe and Barnes have got into it. I think that either Orlando or the Cavs would be a lot more entertaining than the Celtics.

Also in a series against Orlando or the Cavs you would get to see Bynum match up against Dwight or Shaq.

I think you're grasping at straws..i could find other ways to get renvge on any western conference team:

Houston Rockets: revenge for taking ariza away from us, artest gets revenge on his old team
OKC Thunder: revenge on kevin durant for getting ahead of kobe on the mvp rankings
Utah Jazz: revenge for not releasing karl malone earlier when he was healthy and wouldn't miss the finals for us
mavericks: revenge for getting our old player caron, and revnege for the 2 losses they gave us this season including the most recent meeting

I mean seems to me the lakers don't care about any of this, or they are all so long ago nobody cares anymore. the only legit revenge we could get right now is against the celtics and they won't make the finals.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
