Mia-Min Trade
If the Timberwolves got the first pick in the draft would you make a trade with them of Beasly and both 1st round picks for Love and Flynn. Im just figuring that Love would be a good fit next to Stoudamire and Bosh with his passing and rebounding ability. He fits well next to an athletic big man who could score. Flynn would be a combo guard who starts at the point and could be another player on the wing who could score. This would free up the Timberwolves to draft Wall. Beasly is more athletic and could help the Timberwolves in freeing up space in the middle for Darko and Al. What do Twolve fans think about this deal.

Not really interested in this deal. Not good fit, not good value.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Re: Mia-Min Trade
I think if we followed up with a S&T Wade for Jefferson + Utah pick we might be able to work it out.
Freeing up Wade would allow Flynn to have even MORE shots on the perimeter and Jefferson fits in perfectly with an athletic shot blocking big. And you save money and get a pick!

I could see Love and Flynn packaged for an athletic wing but not for Beasley.

We have our first round pick and the Raptors pick. So the picks will probably 15 and 18. In a deep draft due to a possible lockout in the future.

I'm real big on Beasley and I wouldn't touch that. If we got Wall I'd flip Flynn for Beasley tho.

Re: Mia-Min Trade
I don't think Flynn is our long-term answer at the point, and this trade certainly gives us some flexibility:
Wall
Brewer
Beasley
Al
Darko
+ picks 15,16,18, and 23 (roughly)
However, I think this team would be way too heavily weighted towards youth, and I don't think the value is there. I imagine the Wolves will be moving/consolidating the Bobcats and Jazz picks as it is, let alone adding two more 1st rounders into the mix.

I completely agree. Beasley has talent, but way too much character risk to have that much trade value. I know there are other 20 year olds that have been arrested, have had drug problems that put them in rehab, are in AA and are unwed fathers, but I don't want to invest $11 mil over the next two years in a kid like that, hoping he gets his head on straight.

I dont like the shooting with that team. I just dont see those pieces fitting together with AlJeff. And is Beasley a SF or PF? Thats a lot to give up for a guy who CAN play the position, but might not be best suited for it.
I agree about the consolidation, i would need to have some sort of idea or guarantee that those picks could be packaged to move up.

^^^I was under the impression that it had been well settled that Beasley could not manage the SF position. He's an undersized PF that does not rebound.

That's the surprise to me, he was a really good rebounder in college. I wonder why he isn't better on the boards.

Re: Mia-Min Trade
What about Flynn for 2 mid-1st round picks? He'd be a good fit next to Wade as a half PG/half slashing SG...and a lot better than anything they have there now. If Miami signs Bosh, for instance, and resigns Jermaine O'Neal on the cheap Flynn would seem to have good value there. And he'd be better in that system no question.
