What move???

Give me a break Paxson could have easily made a deal had he wanted to. With all of the pieces he had I am sure there were TONS of phone calls to Pax. Keep being a Paxson apologist though, it adds humor to this forum.

Like what? Don't just talk out of your ass - why don't you give an example of a move that would have helped this club?

That wasn't a personal attack that would in any way violate the TOS. He simply challenged your opinion.

But that is a personal attack that borders on a violation of the TOS.

Anyway, you are right that Paxson could have made a trade. I bet he could have made tons of trades. The question is could he have made a good trade.

Thus far Paxson has drafted better than he has traded (current crop TBD of course). It's just the pieces don't auto fit which is normal in drafting.

Paxson's trades have been mostly for cash for to get rid of people. People who are critizing not trading - I assume are okay with most of his previous trades?

What moves would Paxson have made, considering the Bulls were considered a contender for the east? Let's not get carried away with our 20/20 hindsight.

This thread kind of ties in to the other thread on worst signing. We have to watch and see what Paxson does with Wallace (if anything).

That's why I was surprised Doug considered the Wallace signing worse, when we are 1 1/2 years in a 4 year deal. Borrowing from this thread, I would suggest the story of the Wallace signing and contract, isn't done yet, we need to watch and see what happens. :)

Lastly, trades are not super easy to do in the NBA. There are limited players, not really a minor league, and a salary cap. Memphis got Rudy Gay for Shane Battier - trades like that are not super common.

Firing Paxson at this stage would be the worst thing the Bulls could do as an organization. Look, he

Well, you son of a . . . . :D

In fairness to . . . . me . . . . I didn't hold that opinion because I didn't believe Roy would be good (though I certainly in no way thought he'd be as good as he is). I held that opinion because I thought using the #2 pick in the draft on a shooting guard given the team's roster construction at the time would have been an enormous mistake.

And Paxson would have been crucified and Roy would ber playing behind Kirk and Ben and probably Duhon and we would be saying "free Roy" instead of "free Tyrus". :)

If I was running the team, I'd definitely initiate some trade discussion, but obviously only if it helps our team. In other words, nobody's raping anybody here.

I just don't understand why it's so difficult to grasp the concept of the youth movement. It's a concept that we've all recently become accustomed to. Why? Because we didn't have any other choice. Now all of a sudden we're afraid to implement it? I guess one could argue there's $60million reasons why we don't play the kids as much, but still, you have to give them their fair share of time.

We gave guys like Kirk, BG, and Deng ample PT and what we got out of it was excellent progression. Don't get me wrong, they all have their flaws. But it boggles my mind that at this point with the way things have gone, we haven't done the same with TT, Noah, and Sefolosha.

Give the kids their burn, let's see what we've got. If nothing else, at least it gives us a better idea of what we should be considering this offseason, both in the trade market and in the draft.
