TPE, Beasley, Chalmers, picks, and their pick back.

toronto want Beasley as much as they want Deng. that is: they dont want

We can offer Taj, James and picks as well. so at the end, same boat.

Bulls have the edge as they would do an instant sign and trade if we send Noah. We dont want to send Noah, but .. if that is what it takes to get Lebron we would

Wade has national advertising campaigns starring him and him only for Nike/Jumpman, Gatorade, etc. I'm sure that's where he makes his bear-share of endorsement money. Rose is doing a great job for himself in going into his third year, and playing in Chicago probably has helped that, but what I'm saying is that Wade has pretty much maxed out his potential.

I like Lee, but his length and size are nothing special at the NBA level; the guy is crafty, smart, skilled, and his motor runs hot. None of the PFs on the market really give us great length and size to battle the Lakers with; Bosh is probably the best, with Boozer next, due to his oxlike strength, and then David Lee. All of these guys give us enough offense to cause the Lakers problems, but if we are going to beat them it will be in the backcourt. One of Wade/Lebron would be plenty to counteract Kobe and Rose would be our best hope.

Ideally, I would love to find a big who could team up next to Noah and in the Lakers scenario, handle Bynum while allowing Joakim to defend Gasol. It wouldn't have to be a starter, and maybe Asik can grow into that guy, but a healthy Okur (surprisingly good man to man post defender), or a Hot Tub Time Machined Brad Miller would be the ideal. Yoannis Bouroussis, currently playing for Olympikaos in Greece, is a guy who might fit that role, but I doubt the Bulls find the money to bring him over. Still, a frontcourt guy who lets Noah play the 4 defensively but still be a 5 offensively would be a really sweet player to have.

However, Chicago is a much bigger market, and the Bulls are global brand, so Wade would probably earn much more from endorsements, playing in Chicago ...

I can't really imagine Wade getting more endorsements than he already does.

Seriouly? Being from Chicago and being a Jordan Brand player playing in Chicago? Most people dont even know that he is Jordan Brand. His shoes would sell like hot cakes.

Your overall point aside, it's not as fair to compare a veteran's yearly jersey sales to those of a younger player. Wade's biggest fans have owned his #3 Miami jersey for years..they're not going to buy another one.

All Rose's fans over the last two years are brand new fans, and they all are buying his jersey for the first time these last two years.

Wade might make more in endorsements but Florida has no state income tax. I just don't see it happening.

Honestly I'm with the movement on the board that is urging the locking up of David Lee now. I want Lee's commitment starting at $13.2M. If he's willing to do that, I see no reason why we shouldn't agree in principle. We'll still have a full max slot left just in case Wade or Lebron miraculously decide to agree.

If they don't, we have alot of flexibility with our options. We could split it between Kyle Korver or Mike Miller, a re-signed Brad Miller, a rotation guy like Travis Outlaw, and another reserve. Or we could offer Ray Allen a 2-year deal for $22M. Not sure if Boston is willing to give him a third year (I wouldn't) but his conditioning is exceptional. That would be an option.

At any rate, a Bosh/Wade or Bosh/Lebron combo is too unrealistic to prevent us from committing to Lee (or even Boozer) right now if they'll accept a starting salary of $13.2M. Maybe they won't accept a starting salary that low yet. Who knows? Hopefully we get a commitment soon from somebody....

And I disagree with you. The Heat haven't been a contender now for four seasons. No one seems to talk about that. Wade has wasted four years of his prime waiting for Pat Riley to build a contender again. The attention span of the average individual doesn't exactly last that long. In Chicago he could be on a contending team while in a significantly bigger market. The national exposure would be a lot greater than it is now. Yes, Wade is on all sorts of commercials. But the media will talk about Amar'e Stoudemire 10X over now than Wade if Dwyane stays in Miami on a mediocre team with two star players and no bench to speak of.

Winning is important in the public's eye.

That would be a fair point if Kobe and LeBron didn't have higher jersey sales than Rose, but they do.

Surely Wade would pick up more endorsements coming to Chicago. The man would be returning home! They can make a big deal about that

And in China's eye.

Can't we make the same case for Wade that we can for LeBron? That he can ride winning and the Bulls brand to capturing the market there and much of the rest of the world?

Not just returning home---returning home to protect his children, a noble man indeed.

However, China hates children. You can only have one there, next one's gotta go in a garbage can.

What about the high possibility that Lebron and Wade would only choose us if we had Bosh? Then we would of just thrown away our chance at those two guys. Lee can wait.

come on now. that China statement is just too much. That country is just over populated. I think the government gives them some tax relief or money for only having one child but in a garbage can statement can offend some people.

Yeah I know, that one child rule only applies if you live in the very populated urban areas, Shanghai, Beijing. If you live out in the rural areas, that rule does not apply. But are those the type of Chinese people buying basketball shoes?

I have no idea.
anyways i don't think it matters where DWade signs to them because the chinese people I met in college only knew Yao and Kobe. ( unless they are really into basketball and been living in the states for a long time)

No, instead, the children in the rural areas get kidnapped by families wanting boys. The girl they had? She's been taken care of.
