Wade is a super-star while Rose is an all-star. Yet Rose is doing much better in jersey sales. Wade would absolutely make more money in endorsements in Chicago.

However, Chicago is a much bigger market, and the Bulls are global brand, so Wade would probably earn much more from endorsements, playing in Chicago ...
I can't really imagine Wade getting more endorsements than he already does.

Wade has national advertising campaigns starring him and him only for Nike/Jumpman, Gatorade, etc. I'm sure that's where he makes his bear-share of endorsement money. Rose is doing a great job for himself in going into his third year, and playing in Chicago probably has helped that, but what I'm saying is that Wade has pretty much maxed out his potential.

Your overall point aside, it's not as fair to compare a veteran's yearly jersey sales to those of a younger player. Wade's biggest fans have owned his #3 Miami jersey for years..they're not going to buy another one.
All Rose's fans over the last two years are brand new fans, and they all are buying his jersey for the first time these last two years.

Can't we make the same case for Wade that we can for LeBron? That he can ride winning and the Bulls brand to capturing the market there and much of the rest of the world?

Honestly I'm with the movement on the board that is urging the locking up of David Lee now. I want Lee's commitment starting at $13.2M. If he's willing to do that, I see no reason why we shouldn't agree in principle. We'll still have a full max slot left just in case Wade or Lebron miraculously decide to agree.
If they don't, we have alot of flexibility with our options. We could split it between Kyle Korver or Mike Miller, a re-signed Brad Miller, a rotation guy like Travis Outlaw, and another reserve. Or we could offer Ray Allen a 2-year deal for $22M. Not sure if Boston is willing to give him a third year (I wouldn't) but his conditioning is exceptional. That would be an option.
At any rate, a Bosh/Wade or Bosh/Lebron combo is too unrealistic to prevent us from committing to Lee (or even Boozer) right now if they'll accept a starting salary of $13.2M. Maybe they won't accept a starting salary that low yet. Who knows? Hopefully we get a commitment soon from somebody....

come on now. that China statement is just too much. That country is just over populated. I think the government gives them some tax relief or money for only having one child but in a garbage can statement can offend some people.
