I'm not sure why they have the Bulls pick at #3, but interesting...VJ Edgecombe. If they got him do they trade Coby? Or keep both?

I'd hope they'd trade Coby, maybe for another pick and grab a bigman?

I know people have talked about Orlando. What about the 15th pick and contract filler? Actually I'd want a little more, but I'm not sure what that would be.

I have mixed thoughts on trading Coby. I like him, but not sure that I'd want to pay him his next contract.

When I see these mocks with us at 9-10-11 I dont' see much difference to the player I'd want at 15

That’s funny because I watched some highlights of him today and to be honest he looked like Vuc to me. I’m sure I’m wrong and that’s based on small sample size,but just based on the post moves, occasional 3s, spot up shooting, etc. that’s the vibe I got.

Yeah. He does look very skilled offensively. He looks undersized at the C position, and too heavy and slow to play the PF position.

Yeah, defensively Queen puts us in the same defensive position we have with Vuc where the opposition is going to continue to attack him with PnR and tear us up in that drop zone. While Collins is not a longterm piece, having him rotating on defense instead of Vuc has been night and day. We haven't had a C who isn't a sieve defensively on PnR since Noah.

Queen has way too much tape of him initiating from the 3 point line to get the Vuc label.

And we in fact had a top 5 defense with Vuc at the 5. The key is ball pressure

Top 7 draft with a much bigger boom bust profile from 8-20.


Good News is if you look at the top 3 best players for each team across the league there are lots of players picked outside the top 10.

We need another Buz type pick. Hopefully a Jalen Williams level player to go with what we have because you know AK will be keeping Coby and Giddey.

Maryland is 6th in the nation defensively. Queen needs to lean down a bit to gain stamina, but I don't think he's a lost cause on defense. Supposedly has wingspan 7+. Great steals production for a center/big.

People underrate how much the rim-running defensive centers can put a hard ceiling on offense. Signing up for 5 years of a very limited offensive C is also horrible.

It is easy to get wrapped up in terminology, but I think our team would be better just playing Collins/Smith than bringing Queen into the mix. Everything I've read is negative about his defense. I can live with bad defense at any other position, but it is very important at C. It's not just that he's a bit slow, but he's short and doesn't have hops.

That said, I can easily see AK seeing his next Joker imitator in Queen, and trading up to get him.
